2 About Us Randy Pascal Randy is founder of sudburysports.com and local reporter/ columnist for various sport and media groups. He is also a long-time director for our local sports group Sportlink. Mark Vainio Mark has worked for the Golf Association of Ontario, Timberwolf Golf Course, YMCA Sudbury, and the City of Greater Sudbury as both the Games Co-ordinator for the 2010 Ontario Summer Games and a Business Development Officer for Sport and Tourism.

20 Legacy Aspect I Officials & Coaches It is our intention to develop from the Ontario Summer Games a core group of local certified officials that will be able to officiate at future competitions. The Games Organizing Committee through the Sport Technical Committee are committed to hosting Official and Coaching clinics in anticipation of the numerous volunteers needed Seminars will be conducted by respective Provincial Sport Organizations for official certification Clinics will take place in the Fall of 2009, Spring of 2010 and Fall of 2010

21 Legacy Aspect II Facilities & Venues Numerous facilities in Greater Sudbury have been created, changed and enhanced in preparation for the 2010 Ontario Summer Games. We now have the capabilities to host other regional or provincial sporting events and be proud of the facilities that are used by future athletes. New track at Laurentian Stadium BMX course at Rotary Park Mountain Bike trails at Naughton Park Beach Volleyball courts at Moonlight Beach Covered dugouts added at several baseball diamonds Artificial turf field at James Jerome Field Volleyball on the new courts at Moonlight Beach

22 Volunteerism In conjunction with Volunteer Sudbury, approximately 1,300 volunteers were recruited for the 2010 Ontario Summer Games. Administrative responsibilities included: - Timelines - Accreditation - Training - Criminal Reference Checks -Duty delegation Karate volunteers at the 2010 Ontario Summer Games
