13 Issue - C-45 is better known as the second omnibus budget bill. - The act changes the legislation contained in 64 acts or regulations. - The changes that most concern the Idle No More movement are the ones to these acts: Indian Act. Navigation Protection Act (former Navigable Waters Protection Act). Environmental Assessment Act. - Those involved in the movement were angered by what they call a lack of consultation with indigenous peoples. - The movement has also expressed concern about other acts and bills from the Harper government.

The operations were aimed at identifying and neutralizing Al- qaeda members in that country, as well as toppling the taliban regime, which was supporting international terrorism.

Michael Zehaf-Bibeau fatally shot Corporal Nathan Cirillo, a canadian soldier in ceremonial sentry duty. He then entered the nearby centre block parliament building, where members of the parliament hill were attending caucuses After wrestling with a constable at the entrance, Zehaf-Bibeau ran inside and had a shootout with parliament security personnel. He was shot 31 times by six officers and died at the scene. The attacker, Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, was a 32-year-old Canadian habitual offender and drug addict from Montreal. Considered by several acquaintances to have mental issues, he had been observed by acquaintances and mosque staff exhibiting erratic behaviour.

31 POLITICS AND GOVERNMENT SINCE 2010 TILL 2016 WE HAVE HAD ANOTHER ELECTION. STARTING WITH STEPHEN HARPER, CANADA NOW HAS A NEW PRIME MINISTER NAMED JUSTIN TRUDEAU The federal government is bowing to opposition demands and backing down on a "draconian" motion that critics say would have given the Liberals too much control over the ins and outs of parliamentary business. The jury remains hung on whether Harper fulfilled his potential. But he showed disciplined leadership during a decade of financial and geopolitical crisis
