Safety Please read this information, it will answer many of your questions. Our goal is for each competitor to have a great time and do it safely. Cold Range: Pacleb Ranch maintains a cold range. Firearms MUST NOT be handled anywhere on the range except in designated Safe Areas or under the direct supervision of a staff Safety Officer. Handling firearms in the parking areas is deemed unsafe and will result in a DQ. Safe Areas: Safe Areas are located around the range to un bag your firearm and holster or un holster and bag your firearm. You may also dry fire practice and conduct gun repair in the Safe Areas. No ammunition may be handled in the Safe Area. NO EXCEPTIONS! Rules: The match rules are found in the IDPA Rules Handbook, current Edition. THIS IS AN IDPA SANCTIONED MATCH AND WILL BE CONDUCTED IN STRICT COMPLIANCE WITH THE CURRENT IDPA RULE BOOK, INCLUDING HOLSTER, COVER GARMENT AND EQUIPMENT RULES. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SHOOTER TO BE KNOWLEDGEABLE OF THE RULES AND BE IN COMPLIANCE. Spectators: All spectators must wear eye and ear protection while on the range. If you have a guest with you, please instruct them to watch from outside the stage boundary and be respectful of shooters and their space. Pictures & Videos of you are allowed. Please communicate with the SO as to where the spectator is allowed to stand while doing this for you. Children must be supervised at all times. No animals allowed on the range. Staff: Match Safety Officers and other staff are identified by match STAFF shirts. They are responsible for running the stages and ensuring safety. Please follow their instructions and commands. 4

Shooter Information In the extremely unlikely event you have a complaint or disagree with a call, please seek out the CSO of that Bay. If necessary, the CSO will call for the Match Director. The MD will have the final say. Set Props & Tape Targets: Competitors are expected to stay together as a squad to tape and set props on every stage. The best way to keep the match flowing is to move in a timely manner and work together. If you have a medical condition that causes you not to be able to help your squad, let your squad and the SO s know. Lost Brass: This match is a lost brass match. This means we ask you not to pick up brass. Out of consideration for their hard work, the brass on each stage is given to the Safety Officers on each stage. Do not pick up brass. Scoring Disputes: Benefit of the doubt goes to the shooter. There must be some doubt. Common sense applied (i.e., moving target at 10 yards...it s probably not a perfect double hit). With any dispute the SO will pull the target and refer to the CSO. The MD s decision is the final decision. Radial tears and paper tears are not the same thing. Hard Cover/Soft Cover: Shots through props will be scored as misses. Additionally, all walls should be considered as going all the way from ground to infinity (and beyond). Eye & Ear Protection: All competitors and guests must wear eye and ear protection, NO exceptions. Restrooms: There are port a potties positioned throughout the range. Please clean up after yourself. Handicap Shooters: Competitors may request a penalty in lieu of the stated course requirements by reason of incapacity or previous injury. This must be requested prior to shooting the stage. Only the CSO or MD can accept any such request. 5

Shooter Information (continued) Chronograph & Equipment: Equipment check will be done on your first stage and at a later time during the match. You will be asked to provide 7 rounds of ammo off of your belt at any given time during the match for use through the chronograph. Your firearm will be checked at the chronograph station. STAT Shack: Our goal is to produce the scores as quickly as possible. Please help us accomplish this by leaving the staff in the stat shack alone. Inevitably there will be mistakes on class or division or even stage errors. If you find one, seek out one of the Match Directors and tell us. DO NOT enter and talk to the stat shack volunteers as they can only accept changes from one of the MD s. Lunch: We will all break for lunch between 11:30 noon. You will have 30 minutes for lunch. Please return to your squad and bay as soon as you are done eating. It is vital the stages move quickly. Our goal is to maintain an average of no more than 3 minutes per shooter, start to start. Please help us in making that happen. We have many Safety Officers who will be working on your behalf to accomplish this. Please be ready when you are the on deck shooter. YOUR JOB: Help tape and reset props! Be Polite! Be ready! Be Safe! Follow the rules! Have FUN! 6

Match Charity Homes for Our Troops Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) is a privately funded 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that builds mortgage free, specially adapted homes nationwide for severely injured Veterans Post 9/11, to enable them to rebuild their lives. Most of these Veterans have sustained injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives. Since its inception in 2004, nearly 90 cents of every dollar has gone directly to our program services for Veterans. HFOT builds these homes where the Veteran chooses to live, and continues its relationship with the Veterans after home delivery to assist them with rebuilding their lives. BUILDING HOMES AND REBUILDING LIVES HFOT builds homes as a departure point for these Veterans to rebuild their lives, and once again become highly productive members of society. Despite their life altering injuries, many of our Veterans have embarked on new careers, completed their college degrees, or started families. Empowered by the freedom a mortgage free and specially adapted home brings, these Veterans can now focus on their recovery and returning to their life s work of serving others. Many have embraced their roles as motivational speakers, sharing their messages of persevering through tragedy with groups and classrooms around the country; others take to a national platform to promote awareness of veteran suicide, homelessness and PTSD. Their incredible stories far too numerous to include on one page are the driving force for the work we do here at HFOT. We encourage you to read more about their amazing stories in this website: 7

Match Charity Homes for Our Troops Auction and Special Opportunity After the match we will be auctioning off firearms and other items with 100% of the proceeds going to Homes for Our Troops (HFOT). Please help us support this worthy organization! You will also have an opportunity to have your picture taken with the MD presenting you with an award for a $5 donation to HFOT. This special award will also be auctioned off after the match. 8
