2 2018 Chairman Letter March 2018 Last month our two events were Winter Camp at Y-Noah and the Regatta Boat Race, which was at the YMCA. I hope you had a great time at one or both events. Whirlyball is coming up on March 18 th. The cost is $20 per person and the deadline to sign up is March 11 th. This is a very exciting event that will include drinks and snacks. It s like playing basketball with bumper cars. We are also planning to see the Cleveland Monsters on April 13 th. We will be attending this event with the other Adventure groups. If you are interested in going please see the flyer for details. On April 21 st we will be playing paintball with the Trail Blazers. Teams will be picked and will have dads, daughters, and sons on each side. This will be played in the woods and the object will be to get as many flags for your team as possible. It is a very large area; you also have the option to purchase smoke grenades and rent chest protectors. This is a very fun event that gets you outside with lunch provided hotdogs, snacks, and bottled water. Reminder - If you have not paid your Ops Fee for 2018 please do so as soon as possible. This fee is what we use to partially fund the events during the year for the group. We will have a list at all of the upcoming events if you need to check whether you need to pay your fee. 8 Sunday March 18 th, 4:00-6:00 PM (Must arrive by 3:45PM) Sport combining Bumper Cars, Basketball, and Lacrosse! Two teams of 5 players drive around the court in bumper cars. Each player carries a plastic scoop to pick up, catch, and throw a whiffle ball at a target on a backboard. Each participant will be given at least 2 tickets for the games which will last about 12 minutes. Pizza, Pop, and Chips will be provided. I acknow ledge that if I believe event conditions are unsafe, I will immediately discontinue participating in the Activity. I fully understand that this Activity involve risks of serious bodily injury, including permanent disability, paralysis and death, which may be cause by my own action, or inactions, those of others participating in the event, the conditions in which the event takes place, or the negligence of the Releasee named below; and that there may be other risks either not known at the time or not readily foreseeable at this time; and I fully accept and assume all such risks and all responsibility for losses, costs, and damages I incur as a result of my participation in the Activity.
