1 SCE TIMECARD ENDURO 16/12/2018 FINAL INSTRUCTIONS These Final instructions are to be read and understood in conjunction with the WOR Events code of conduct and sporting code. DIRECTIONS TO EVENT The actual start area is on the B4391 Bala to Llangynog road. Nearest postcode LL23 7RH orange arrows into the woods. PARKING / NO CAMPING Please park as directed in the start area there is ample parking albeit on a forestry fire road. Camping is not available!! There are other campsites near the venue and these can be found via the North Wales Tourist Board...also there is a big public and pub car park in Llangynog that is brill for camping over at. Great food in pub too!! The forest will be locked from 5pm till 6:30am CATERING A catering service along with toilets will be available in the start area for the duration of the day. MACHINE EXAMINATION It is the rider s responsibility to produce a well maintained and safe machine for use in this event. Random noise tests will take place. TYRES ANY FRONT OR REAR SIGNING ON Signing on will take place on Sunday 16th dec from 07:30 hrs till 09:45hrs. GET THERE EARLY PLEASE: It is the rider s responsibility to ensure that they have been entered in the correct class and that numbers are attached correctly. Time cards will be issued at signing on.

2 Help will be offered to newcomers in working out times etc and filling in cards..all riders will need an IOPD day/year licence (Available at signing on) TIME SCHEDULES Time schedules will be published on the morning of event. But expect Exp and Exp vets 7 laps - 6 tests Clubman / over 40 6 laps 5 tests, Sportsman & Sportsman Vet 5 laps - 4 tests,novice and Youth 4 laps- 3 tests. START The Start time will be 10:00hrs 8/1/17 Riders will leave at intervals of 4 per minute, Expert, Clubman, Sportsman, OVER 40, Over 50, Novice and Youth The start order will be as above. THE TRACK The course is 10 miles per lap with one checkpoint per lap at the start finish area. The going is made up of forest roads, tracks, trails, linking together to make a ride able and sustainable course for the duration of the event. SPECIAL TESTS The special test is included in the 10-mile lap and is approx 5 minutes in length. The test will be ridden first lap untimed. The special test is a mixture of tracks and trails linking in the forest. WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE THE GREEN GO SIGN FROM THE SPECIAL TEST STARTER IN THE 4X4 CONTROL VEHICLE AWARDS Special plaque to all finishers. RESULTS. Results will be posted on and all relevant Facebook pages on Sunday Evening after the event SAFETY The Parc Ferme, Work Area and refuelling area are NO SMOKING areas for EVERYONE. Riders and support crews are not to bring children or animals into these areas. All Support crews must be equipped with serviceable fire extinguishers in the refuelling area. When you enter the time check WALKING PACE must be adhered to. DO NOT EVER TRAVEL THE OPPOSITE WAY TO THE COURSE DIRECTION MARKERS. If you break down, please stay with machine until help arrives. If you retire from event, please hand in your time card and let the officials of event know you have done so. If you come across an injured rider please stop and find out the rider s number and let the next available course marshal know where they are. YOU will be allowed time for this. Please keep an eye out for other PUBLIC users of the forest; although the organisers will have taken every possible step to ensure a clear forest The public could still enter the venue via 4x4 s or horses/ on foot etc. WOR EVENTS - Basic Rules / Guidelines for Time Card Enduro

3 An Enduro is not a race, but a long-distance timed trial consisting of checks, for which a time allowance is given, and special tests, which are timed to 1/100 second. Penalties are incurred for early or late arrival at timechecks and the cumulative total of special test times and penalties determine the result. The course will be clearly marked with route markers / direction arrows. It is the riders responsibility to follow the course. Course cutting will result in exclusion of the rider concerned. Riders start at 1 minute intervals and endeavour to complete each check within their designated time allowance. You are given your start time at signing-on and will be issued with a timecard which you fill in with your arrival time at each check. This timecard must be kept by the rider throughout the event and is handed to the check marshall for addition of your arrival time when you enter each timecheck. At the end of the event the timecard is handed in to the marshall at the finish check. At your designated time, you wheel your machine to the start line and await the signal of the start line official when to start your engine. Do not start your engine before this signal otherwise you will incur a penalty. You must cross a line 20 metres from the start line under engine power, to avoid a late starting penalty. Timechecks are indicated by a white flag at 200 metres and a yellow flag at 20 metres before the time control. When you pass the yellow flag you have entered the check and your time is recorded on your timecard. If you are early, wait in front of the yellow flag for your designated time before entering the check otherwise you will be penalised. If you are late go straight into the check to have your time recorded. For this event there will be one timecheck per lap, at the start / finish. Time schedules vary between classes, which are determined by rider ability. Riders who exceed the designated time given for a check will be penalised 60 points per minute late (or early). If you are late (or early) you must adjust your ETA at the next timecheck accordingly. DO NOT MAKE UP TIME. TIMING IS FROM CHECK TO CHECK. TIME INTO TIMECHECK = START TIME FOR NEXT CHECK. A rider who arrives at a timecheck more than 60 minutes after his original ETA is excluded. You will be able to refuel your machine in the Work / Refuelling area which will be situated at the start / finish of each lap, indicated by green flags. Smoking and the use of mobile phones is not permitted in this area and your engine must be stopped when refuelling. The refuelling area and timechecks are restricted speed area and riders must not exceed walking pace. Points / Penalties:

4 Starting engine in parc ferme or before starting signal is given: 60 pts Loss of or unreadable timecard 60pts Not starting engine and crossing 20m line within one minute of starting signal: 60pts For every minute late (or early) at the start line or timecheck: 60pts Special tests: 1/100 sec = 1/100 pts Disqualification: Exceeding walking pace in restricted speed areas Altering a timecard Changing machine during the event Cutting or altering the course Remember: If you are new to timecard enduros, help and advice will be available at signing-on. We are there to help, so if in doubt ask! Finally.. PLEASE TAKE ALL YOUR LITTER HOME WITH YOU. ANYONE SEEN LEAVING LITTER WILL BE MADE AN EXAMPLE OF.
