4 1985 SEASON SUMMARY NATIONAL LEAGUE P W D L F A Pts +/- Home Away Totals Finished 17th of 19 teams. NATIONAL LEAGUE KNOCK-OUT CUP 1st Round: Lost v Birmingham (42-36 & 28-50). NATIONAL LEAGUE FOUR TEAM TOURNAMENT Finished 4th in qualifying round and did not progress (Glasgow 29, Middlesbrough 96, Berwick 96, Edinburgh 67). * The Glasgow leg was rained off and not restaged due to a lack of suitable dates. NATIONAL LEAGUE PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIP Steve Lawson & Andy Reid were selected to represent Glasgow. Reid withdrew due to work commitments and his place was taken by Martin McKinna. McKinna then withdrew due to injury and Glasgow were replaced in the meeting by Rye House. NATIONAL LEAGUE RIDERS' CHAMPIONSHIP Steve Lawson qualified and scored 4 points (15th place). NATIONAL LEAGUE GRAND SLAM Steve Lawson qualified for the semi-finals with 37 points but withdrew on the day of the meeting due to illness.
