It comprised 5 teams Eastbourne Eagles (who headed the unfinished league table at the end of the season), Dagenham Daggers, Romford Rommers (who rode their home matches at Dagenham), Rye House Cubs, and Smallford Stags. Stan Lemon rode as Stan Johns Hailsham Cup This year the competition was based on the results over the whole season scored in all events. Result was Danny Lee 109pts, Charlie Page 99, Stan Johns 83, Harry Saunders 59, Charlie Dugard 54 Easter Sun : Eastbourne EG ; E Cour ; E Chron Att: 2,000. "Unprecedented shortage of riders and track difficulties" meant that an "impromptu programme had to be arranged with the team competitions in the first half (this was a Probables v Possibles match) and handicaps in the second". Unfortunately, no results are available, but the competing riders included Phil "Tiger" Hart, Danny Lee, Charlie Dugard, Harry Saunders, Charlie Page, Charlie Blythe, Jack Adams, Jack Collins, and J (or C?)
