4 Welcome to the final event of our 90th year. With Neil Bowker setting the course and Manny Bernardez shuffling the paperwork, along with the numerous helpers and marshal s we are in very safe hands and guaranteed a great day s sport/entertainment. I must take this opportunity to thank all the members that have worked tirelessly to put on all our events and those behind the scenes who spend hours accounting and looking after the paperwork this year. Myself and the committee hope you had a very merry Christmas and wish you a successful and prosperous New Year. SIGNING ON:- 8:00am - 10:30am (Before Technical Control) DON T BE LATE! Please have your riding number memorised. All riders to show current ACU competition licence, failure to do so will result in a one event licence. Riders under 18 MUST be accompanied by Parent or legal guardian to sign on. TIMING: Electronically timed using transponders. NUMBERS: Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors Signseen numbers will be provided at Signing On. TECHNICAL CONTROL:- 8:30am - 10:30am, machine, helmet & numbers on the bike (Minimum Standard - Silver Approval ACU Stamp for Enduro). Then wheel your machine straight to the Start Area (PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE A METHOD OF SUPPORTING YOUR MACHINE i.e. side stand, wooden stick or something, etc). All machines to be in place by 10:45am. Environmental Mats: During the refuelling process a environmental must be used. STARTING PROCEDURE: Le Mans type start in classes with 30 second intervals, first away 11:00am. PITS: No dogs, no pushchairs and no children please. AWARDS: There will be a awards ceremony approximately 30 minutes after the finish for the top 3 in each class. Please hand in your wristband at the finish or if retired.

Smoking in the refuelling area. Refuelling outside designated area. Not keeping to the course/course cutting. Irregularities in lap times recorded, suggesting course cutting. Failure to keep any support crew member out of prohibited areas (i.e. punch check).

12 The Rules SOUND CONTROL:- Machines must be within the noise levels currently in force for that category of machine (see ACU Handbook). Any rider losing a silencer or baffle or creating unacceptable noise will be sent to the pits to rectify it. The machine must then be inspected by the Technical Official prior to being allowed back on the course. COURSE:- We hope to achieve a minimum length of up to 10 kms. The course will be marked by Fluorescent arrows, tape and route check gates which riders must pass through. BLUE TAPE AREAS:- Areas defined with Blue Tape are for the protection of Officials and Marshals. They MUST be ridden at WALKING PACE. A 60 second STOP - GO penalty may be enforced for the first offence. Exclusion will be the result of a second offence. FUEL:- Refuelling must take place in the designated GREEN area only, environmental mats must be places below machines during refuelling. This will be defined by GREEN SINAGE. Each rider is responsible for their own fire precautions and should be equipped with the standard 2kg Dry Powder Extinguisher. BREAKDOWNS:- It is the riders responsibility to recover his own machine. TEAR OFFS:- The use of tear offs is prohibited (banned). NO MACHINES TO BE STARTED OR RIDDEN BEFORE THE START OF THE EVENT!. There will be an official engine warm up after the Riders Briefing/Final Instructions etc before the start of the event. START:- Will be a Le Mans style, controlled group start event (YES!!!, YOU WILL HAVE TO RUN TO YOUR MACHINE). The start will be set out so that riders will start in ability classes. With no less than 30 seconds between groups. LAP SCORING:- Electronically timed using transponders and receivers. FINISH:- You must complete 3 hours to be classed as a finisher from the first group s start time. Please make sure to hand in the wristbands at the finish or once retired.
