1 Competitions Guide and rules 2015 UEC BMX EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS For the full regulations please refer to the UCI rulebook and the UEC regulations METHOD OF HOLDING THE RACES AUTHORISATION TO START European Championships (CC): In accordance with the UCI rules only European riders can participate to the CC race. All riders (Challenge and Championship) must hold a national licence issued by an UCI affiliated Federation. Participation championship classes. Championship clase. Each country is allowed to enter a maximum number of 16 riders in every championship classes Participation - challenge classes Each country is allowed to enter a maximum number of 16 riders in all race categories. For the host country it is allowed to enter 32 riders in all race categories. 3. RIDERS CATEGORIES : UEC BMX EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS (CC): Championship classes: Men Elite Male riders 19 years and older Women Elite Female riders 19 years and older Men Junior Male Riders 17 and 18 years old Women Junior Female riders 17 and 18 years old. Challenge classes : Boys 7 & under, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13,14,15,16 Men 17/24, 25/29, 30+ Girls 7 & under, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13,14,15,16 Women 17+ Cruisers Boys/ Men 17/24, 25/29, 30/39, 40/44, 45+ Cruiser Women 17/29, Rider s equipment : o Short pants : Aare allowed provided they are used together with knee and shin protection with a rigid surface that extends from the knee protection to fully cover the shin until just above the ankle. Nevertheless the UEC BMX Commission recommends for safety reasons the use of long pants. o Use of clip pedals : Riders aged 13 and older are allowed to use clip pedals. o Front and side plates : Colors and sizes as per UCI rule book article Each bicycle must display a lateral number plate located just behind the steer tube. o Numbers on jerseys : Rriders without a permanent UCI career number must not print a number on the back of their jersey. all Challenge riders must either wear a clearly visible national flag of their country on both shoulders or the national jersey of their country. all Championship riders must wear their national jersey with career number if they have one. The world, continental and national champions must comply with this rule and wear their national team clothing while participating in the European Championships.

This space should not be inside the public area. The location of the team managers meeting room is clearly sign posted. Teamtents UEC registered teams can still hire a team space : 150,00 has to be paid to the organizers. As a counterpart the organizers will: provide spaces, as close as possible to the track, of 6 x 3 m for each team registered for that specific race; promote the name of the Team during races. Not UEC registered teams can hire a teamspace by the organisation. A teamspace can be reserved by 6. We ask Chefs d Equipe to bring a bank statement (ask your federation), showing when the payment was made by bank transfer, when they pick up the riders package. This to avoid any problems. The registration fees are the following Junior Classes : 37,00 per entry Elite Classes : 59,00 per entry Challenge classes : per entry. Award ceremony.e Saturday : Warm up / gate European challenge for Cruiser classes (men & women) European challenge for 20 until 14 years (boys & girls) Award ceremonies cruiser % 20 clase. Sunday : Warm up / gate European Challenge for and over (boys & girls) European Championships for Men & Women Junior, Men & Women Elite Award ceremonies starting by European Championships and then Challenge. 8. REGISTRATIONS. The Federations will send their registrations to the races by to the UEC Chief Administrator : The participating countries will decide of a deadline for receiving the registrations in their own country. The UEC Chief Administrator will send back the list of riders with the assigned international numbers to the Organizer as well as to the various countries and to the UEC website. The Federations can cancel riders until the Thursday 8.00 a.m. before the event. They will not have to pay for this registration. Only European riders can participate in the European Championship (Championship and Challenge classes). It is not possible for Challenge or Championship riders to register after the deadline or on the spot. 7. PROVISIONAL TIMETABLE; No detailed time schedule should be forwarded to the federations prior to the event. The time schedule will be established by the UEC Chief Administrator. Thursday:

3 Guide and rules 9. STAFF IDENTIFICATION. Personnel directly or indirectly concerned with the race must be provided with special ID cards. 10. Opening ceremony. The opening ceremony will take place on Friday evening at 19: 00 h. The Chief d'equipe of each participating country allows for 2 riders that wearing the national flag during the parade. They must wear the national tricot of their country. 10. Price money and medals. Challenge classes : Trophies for the first eight riders of all classes of the continental championship race for Challenge classes. All of the riders placed 1 to 8 have to go to the podium. 11. PRESS AND MEDIA. The UEC will provide a live streaming service for all events. Types of ticket, campsite and trade stand prices are mentioned in the following index.
