1 2018 Race Committee Welcome to the 2018 Marymoor general membership meeting! We have changed things up this year. Right now, we have a tentative race book to discuss as well as upcoming changes to the track for this year. High level overview Big Races o Kick off Weekend May 25th & 26th (Memorial Day Weekend) Adding Juniors o Marymoor GP July 20 & 21 o Freds Race August August 10,11, and 12th Cirque is coming back and starts taking over the parking pad on the 13th o July 4th: Racing starts at 10am with beer garden and BBQ to benefit the junior program Motor Pacing o We have bought (are buying) and an e-bike. KCP doesn t count this as a motorcycle, so the insurance issues are gone. o MVA will hold open motorpacing along with scheduling private sessions (Tuesday and Sundays) Six Day race nights are gone, still at least 1 Madison a month on FNR Madison & sprint tourney will alternate on mondays Novelty Races now grant 1 season point, novelty races on Mondays and Wednesdays. Weekly Omnium Podiums for all categories to showcase sponsors No formal postseason due to Cirque shows starting 2nd week in September o We will run unsanctioned training/racing in September Mondays in May will be newbie nights in order to help get some people who won t show up to Thursdays because of Seward Weekly Schedule Mondays: o Juniors, Cat 4s, Alternating sprints & madison Tuesdays: o Open training o Motopacing (AM - prviate, PM - public) Wednesday o Cat 4 Men, Cat 4 Women, Masters A (1/2/3), Masters B (3/4) o Masters 3s that win the 3/4 omnium multiple times will race Master As Thursday (and Monday s in May) o Cat 5 Men and Women Friday o Cat 1/2 Men, Cat 3 Men, Women 1/2/3, Novelty, Featured races. o Rotating Feature Races (Juniors, Open Sprinters, Jr Grad Race, Kiddie Kilo) o If the 1/2s end in a scratch race, the top 5 omnium riders in the 3s will be allowed to join Saturday o Open Training o Possibility of Adult Class Sunday o Open Training o Possibility of Adult Class o Motorpacing
