1 TOURNAMENT TIME SPORTS FOOTBALL AGE DIVISIONS, RULES AND SKILL PLAYER WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS NFHS FOOTBALL RULE WILL BE USED EXECPT WERE MODIFIED. FEEL FREE TO CONTACT AN ONSITE DIRECTOR FOR ANY QUESTIONS. WE ASK YOU PLEASE READ THE RULES CAREFULLY SO YOU WILL HAVE A GOOD UNDERSTANDING OF HOW THE TOURNAMENT WILL BE PLAYED!!! Refund Policy Tournament Time Sports will charge a minimum administration fee equaling 10% of your entry fee, for all refunds. If you call on or before 20 days in advance prior to tournament date you will be refunded 75% of your entry money. If you call on or before 15 days in advance prior to tournament date you will be refunded 50% of your entry money. If you call inside the 15-day window or after schedule and brackets have been posted there will be no refund given. No refunds or transfer of funds from tournament to tournament. Weather Cancellations If there is a chance facilities venue will not allow us to continue the tournament due to weather, please be aware that Tournament Time Sports will charge a minimum administration fee equaling 10% of the entry fee, for all refunds if tournament is completely rained out. 1 game played = 50% refund of entry money; 2 nd Game Started = No Refund. Adverse Weather The Tournament Time Sports tournaments will be played in adverse weather conditions. The format may be changed to lesser time limits to complete the tournament. Players and Coaches expect these conditions when entering the tournament. Start Time Before entering a tournament, make sure your team has no other conflicts on listed tournament dates. Tournament Time Sports cannot accommodate any special game time request! Teams need to be prepared to play 1hr earlier than there scheduled time to play, if the tournament is ahead of schedule games will be played earlier than scheduled times. Reserved Spot Your team will not be confirmed into any tournament until full payment is received in full PRIOR to the tournament date according to the coaches . Penciled teams are not confirmed. Protest Fee 1) Judgment calls by the officials cannot be protested, rules only may be protested, and must be decided before resuming play. 2) A $100 cash protest fee must be presented to the tournament director at the time of the protest. 3) A protest is only "Official" if accompanied by the $100 and done before the next play. 4) If the protest is upheld, then the $ 100 will be refunded Free Coaches Each team is allowed four (4) free coaches at the gate. Coaches to receive a coach s tournament band must have their name listed on the official roster and turned in prior to the tournament. Maximum of five coaches on the sideline.

2 Eligibility Player's birthdates must meet the age requirements of their respective age divisions. A player's tournament age is based on the age they are as of July 1 st, Each team must bring a photo copy of the official state-issued birth certificate for each player. The team manager must keep the birth certificates of all players on him at all times. If any player does not have his birth certificate, he/she cannot participate in the tournament. Any opposing team can protest a player according to the protest rule. The coach of the player being protest must be able to provide a copy of the player birth certificate. If not then that player then becomes ineligible. Any game played with an ineligible player now becomes a forfeit. If a team caught using a player that is older than the cutoff for the division, that team will forfeit every game that player has played in. (All forfeited games will be recorded as 7-0 in favor of the wining team.) 3 Player Weigh In Weigh in will take place at South Charleston High School 1. An official weigh in will take place Friday November 16, 2018 starting at 4:30pm, teams must complete weigh in one hour and a half (1 ½) hrs before your first game. Your official weight before your first game will be your weight for the tournament. 2. An official weigh in will take place Saturday November 17, 2018 starting at 8:00am, teams must complete weigh in one hour and a half (1 ½) hrs before your first game. Your official weight before your first game will be your weight for the tournament. 3. Tournament Time Sports staff member must weigh in each team s participants in order for a player to be able to participate in a Tournament Times Sports football tournament. 4. Each Player will be weighed on digital scales provided by Tournament Time Sports and the digital read out will be that players official weight for the weekend. 5. Any player weighing in over the skill player weight requirements will have a Tournament Time Sports sticker placed on their helmet. 6. Any player with a Tournament Time Sports sticker placed on their helmet means they exceed the skill player weight restrictions and will not be allowed to run the ball and must play the line on both sides of the ball. Skill Player Division 6u 7u 8u 9u 10u 11u 12u 13U Skill Player Max Weight 85lbs 85lbs 95lbs 115lbs 125lbs 135lbs 150lbs unlimited Keep in mind we set the brackets based off a blind draw, each team will be guaranteed to play two games. LINE WEIGHT IS UNLIMITED IN ALL AGES (UNLESS THE DIVISION IS MARKED RESTRICTED). IF YOUR OVER THE SKILL PLAYER MAX WEIGHT, STICKER PLAYER (STICKER WILL BE APPLIED TO THE HELMET OF EACH PLAYER EXCEEDING THE SKILL PLAYER MAX WEIGHT) THEN YOU MUST PLAY ON THE LINE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL. IF YOUR OVER THE SKILL PLAYER MAX WEIGHT YOU CANNOT AT ANY TIME RECEIVE THE FOOTBALL. IF A "STICKER" PLAYER RECOVERS A FUMBLE THE BALL IS DEAD AT POINT OF RETURN (YOUR TEAM DOES GAIN POSSESSION). We use the same age cut-off for all divisions. July 1st is the age cut-off for each age division. (age example of the 10 & under: if your team is made up of kids 10 and younger w/ kids turning 11 after July 1st, then you still compete in the 10u division). We understand certain leagues have DIFFERENT age cut-offs we can t accommodate any other age cut off other than July 1 st. We do accept teams from GRADE oriented leagues (but there MUST be league proof)... Here is a Division example, if your team is made up of 10, 11- & 12-year old s then you'll compete in the 12u division.

4 We want every team playing in the proper division, that's why we ask for a roster from every attending team prior to attending the event, we triple check out the birth dates on the roster to ensure you're in a fair age division, then we check the roster to the birth certificates on arriving at the event. IN ALL AGE DIVISIONS NATIONAL FEDERATION HIGH SCHOOL RULES APPLY W/ THE EXCEPTION WERE RULES ARE MODIFIED FOR TOURNAMENT PLAY. Each game is made up of four - ten-minute quarters. Two timeouts per half per team. We use a modified "tournament" clock. Clock does stop on all scores, timeouts & injuries. Last two minutes of the 4th Quarter the clock will run by "regulation" rules. We use the modified clock so we can fit in all the games and stay on schedule. High School Rules Scoring System (After Touchdown: 2pt for run or pass, 1pt for kick) All teams registered for a Tournament Time Sports football tournament, must submit a completed Tournament Time Sports roster that will be provided in the coaches print packet. Your roster must be completed on this form and brought to your weigh in. At this time you will complete your registration and finish your weigh in. The roster submitted will become your official roster for the tournament and your official weights will be recorded on that roster and filed onsite. This will be your official roster for the weekend. You can not add players to your roster after your first game.

5 AGE DIVISIONS (BELOW) Checkout for specifics 6 & UNDER DIVISION: Skill player max weight is 85lbs. - unlimited line weight. NO KICKING OF ANY KIND. All punts are walked off 25 yards by officials. (However, ball shall not be moved inside the 10-yard line on any punt) Ball starts play at the 30-yard line to begin each half and after each score. Teams can have no more than 7 players on the defensive line. LB's must be at least three yards off the ball and DB's must be at least four yards off the ball. Two coaches per team allowed on the field, once offensive huddle breaks both offense and defense coaches must remain 15 yards from the spot of the ball. Once the coach tries to start officiating then he'll have to coach from sideline rest of game. You re out there to coach your team only!!! 7 & UNDER DIVISION: Skill player max weight is 85lbs. - unlimited line weight. NO KICKING OF ANY KIND. Punts are walked off 25 yards by officials. (However, ball shall not be moved inside the 10-yard line on any punt) Ball starts play at each half and after each score at the 30-yard line. DB's must be at least four yards off the ball, they can blitz but must from four yards deep. Read the 6 & under division rules (above) for what is expected from the coach on the field. 8 & UNDER DIVISION: Skill player max weight is 95lbs. - unlimited line weight. NO KICKING OF ANY KIND. All punts are walked off 25 yards by officials..(however, ball shall not be moved inside the 10 yard line on any punt)ball starts play at the 30-yard line to begin each half and after each score. Any defense can be used in this age division. One coach per team is allowed on the field for both teams, once offensive huddle breaks both offense and defense coaches must remain 15 yards from the spot of the ball. Read the 6 & under rules (above) for how coaches on the field are expected to conduct themselves. 9 & UNDER DIVISION: Skill player max weight is 115lbs. - unlimited line weight. NO COACH ALLOWED ON FIELD. Event has all live kicks (just like high school). NO PUNTS are allowed, ball is walked off 25 yards by officials. (However, ball shall not be moved inside the 10-yard line on any punt). Point after try is same rules as high school. Outside of what rules are mentioned, this age is high school rules. 10 & UNDER DIVISION: Skill player max weight is 125lbs. - unlimited line weight. NO COACH ALLOWED ON FIELD. No kicking of any kind. Punts are walked off 25 yards by officials. (However, ball shall not be moved inside the 10-yard line on any punt). Point after try is same rules as high school. Outside of what rules are mentioned, this age is high school rules. 11 & UNDER DIVISION: Skill player max weight is 135lbs. - unlimited line weight. Event has all live kicks (just like high school). NO PUNTS are allowed ball is walked off 35 yards by officials. (However, ball shall not be moved inside the 10-yard line on any punt) Point after try is same rules as high school. Outside of what rules are mentioned this age division is played under high school rules. 12 & UNDER DIVISION: Skill player max weight is 150lbs. - unlimited line weight. Event has all live kicks (just like high school). NO PUNTS are allowed ball is walked off 35 yards by officials. (However, ball shall not be moved inside the 10-yard line on any punt) Outside of what rules are mentioned this age division is played under high school rules. 13 & UNDER DIVISION: Unlimited weight for all positions. Event has all live kicks (just like high school). NO PUNTS are allowed ball is walked off 35 yards by officials.
