1 HIGH JUMP RULES: 1. A competitor should take off from one foot. 2. A competitor fails if after the jump, the bar does not remain on the supports because of the action of a competitor while jumping. 3. Measure metric to two decimals. Record for all trials, clearances and failures. 4. Judges will mark under the proper height on the field event sheet with the following symbols; O = Cleared, X = Failed, - = Did not Jump 5. For a record, measure from the top of straight bar at centre to the ground to double check. 6. Competitor must wear two shoes, shirt. 7. Track priority - when return jump at current height. 8. Each person is allowed three trials to make a height but may forego the second and third jump at a height after failing the first and second jump at the subsequent height. 9. Three misses in a row, regardless of height, then you are out of competition. 10. Extraneous Forces when it is clear that a force not associated with the competitor has displaced the bar; e.g., gust of wind, if such displacement occurs after a competitor has cleared the bar without touching it, then the attempt should be considered successful or, if such displacement occurs under any other circumstances, a new attempt should be awarded. 11. Athlete may pass at any height but if current height is missed, the last recorded jump is the one considered. 12. Jump is good if bar remains on standards. 13. Last competitor may jump until his three consecutive failures. Continue jumping until competitor is finished. 14. Use your own intuition for starting height. Can go up by 4 cm. At start of competition. 15. After event, mark top 4 on sheet and award ribbons. In case of a tie, the person with fewer errors at height wins. For further time-breaking, the competitor with the least number of errors in total wins. THEN SEND SHEET TO RECORDER. 16. Allow substitution only with a form from the participant's coach.

2 LONG JUMP RULES: 1. Measure in metric and round down to 2 decimals. (e.g. 4.85) 2. Three trials each. Allow the top 6 one more jump. 3. Rules: - Measure from edge of board, close to pit to mark part of body made in sand closest to board - Void if toes over edge of board. - No somersaults. 4. All jumps are to be measured from the nearest break in the landing area made by any part of the body or limbs or back to the take off line and should be exactly perpendicular to the take-off line and its extension. 5. Track priority - use your discretion as to how many jumps you allow before the athlete leaves. 6. Upon completion, mark the 4 placers on the sheet and award those winners ribbons. SEND THE RESULTS SHEET TO THE RECORDING TABLE PLEASE. 7. Don't allow spectators between pit and track. 8. Competitors compete in the order that their name appears on the list. Exception: Those doing jumps before leaving for track events. 9. A tie is broken by going to the second best jumps of the tied athletes, then to the third best jump if the tie still exists. 10. Allow a substitute only if they have a substitution form from their coach.

3 TRIPLE JUMP RULES: 1. The triple jump should consist of a hop, a step and a jump in that order. 2. Measure in metric and to 2 decimals, rounding down if between 2 points. 2. Three trials each. Allow the top 6 one more jump. 3. Rules - measure from edge of board close to pit - void if any part of foot over edge of board - measure to mark in pit closest to board - steps: hop - step - jump - the hop must be on the same foot as the take-off - if sleeping foot touches ground, counted as failure 4. Track priority - use your discretion for the number of jumps you allow before the athlete leaves to run. 5. After event, mark top 4 on sheet and award ribbons. SEND SHEET TO THE RECORDING TABLE 6. Allow a substitute in only if they have a substitution form from their coach. 7. A tie is broken by going to the second best jumps of the tied athletes, then to the third best jump if the tie still exists. 8. All jumps shall be measured from the nearest break in the landing area made by any part of the body or limbs to the take-off line, or take-off line extended. The measurement shall be taken perpendicular to the take-off line or its extension.

4 TURBO JAVELIN RULES: 1. The javelin should be thrown from within the javelin runway and released prior to the inner edge of the arc. 2. The javelin should be held at the grip. 3. It should be thrown over the shoulder or upper part of the throwing arm and not be slung or hurled. 4. A throw is good only if the tip of the head strikes the ground before any other part of the javelin and it lands within the landing sector. 5. At no time during the throw, until the javelin has been discharged into the air, may a competitor turn completely around, so that their back is towards the throwing arc. 6. Measure in metric - Round down to the nearest 2 decimals. 7. Three trials each. If time permits allow the top 6 competitors one more trial. The winner is the competitor with the best distance out of all trials. 8. Track priority - Use your discretion as to how many throws you allow the athlete before they leave. 9. Keep spectators back for safety. 10. Void: - if competitor touches arc or scratch lines or beyond - if competitor crosses parallel lines - if competitor leaves the delivery area before the javelin has landed or leaves from in front of the arc or scratch lines - if the turbo javelin does not land tip first 11. Each throw is measured from the nearest mark made by the tip of the turbo javelin to the inner edge of the circumference of the arc, through the centre of the radius of the arc. 12. In case of a tie, the second best throw settles it. If a tie still exists go to the 3rd. 13. After the event, mark top 4 and award ribbons. Send results to the recording table. 14.
