5 Game 1 NEW ENGLAND 28 PITTSBURGH 21 SEPTEMBER 10, 2015 GILLETTE STADIUM (66,829) FOXBOROUGH QB Tom Brady s four touchdown passes lifted the Patriots to a victory over the at Gillette Stadium in the 2015 NFL Kickoff Game. Pittsburgh marched into New England territory on its opening drive but K Josh Scobee s 44-yard field goal went wide right. After a scoreless first quarter, Brady connected with TE Rob Gronkowski on a 16-yard touchdown to give New England a 7-0 advantage early in the second quarter. On the following drive, Scobee missed again, this time from 46 yards out. Brady then connected with Gronkowski from six yards out to give New England a 14-0 lead. Scobee made a 44-yard field goal right before halftime and the trailed 14-3 at the break. LOUIS The defense stopped the Rams fourth-and-five attempt late in the fourth quarter to give Pittsburgh a 12-6 win at St. Louis. Pittsburgh scored on its opening drive of the game as RB DeAngelo Williams scored on a one-yard run to give the a 7-0 lead.
