The championship was nothing new to the Ballstars they handled business as usual. Capturing the first of their not 2...not 3...not 4... not 5... Championship series run!

They were lead by the dominate forces in the middle Mr. Terrance 'He can t guard me' Nixon, Game MVP and Mr. Sam 'Get me the ball' Orr. Who both were alongside the high flying, human highlight dunker Mr. Krizzo 'Just throw it up' Washington and sharp shooter's Mr. Kris '3 from deep' McNeil, Mr. Jared 'Lob City' Bradford and the player/coach Mr. Larry 'Hand down, Man down' Garland. Mr. Jacobie 'I'll lock him down too' Warren proved to be the most versatile one of the bunch by guarding the other teams best player, assisting, rebounding and all the other dirty work that was needed to capture the victory. See yall in the Finals! A Division The 30+A Finals were an exciting game pitting two teams who did not meet in the regular season against each other. The OG's were heavily favored in this game against the underdog Squires. There was even a quote in the "Commish's Corner" before the finals that read "We pick the OG's".

The Squires fought hard with one of the largest front courts in the league. The Bad Boys of Detroit come to mind. Alex Irvine and James Cottom controlled the paint like Bill Laimbeer and Rick Mahorn.

Alex Irvine and James Cottom controlled the paint like Bill Laimbeer and Rick Mahorn. Sedrick Winston was a defensive and rebounding force reminiscent of Dennis Rodman in his Piston days. Cedric Robinson's play at the point draws comparison to Chauncey Billups, another former Piston. Cedric commanded the offense and made big shots when needed. Wellington Smith and Brandon Blymyer added a much needed spark off the bench. Brandon Blymyer's flashy, pinpoint passing had the Squires fans in a frenzy. Wellington's relentless perimeter defense frustrated the OG guards all night. The MVP Jamal Yusuf did what he had done all year. Score. With a smooth lefty jump shot and a deceptively quick first step, Jamal led the Squires to a Legends League Championship. A/B Division CACI team topped the Avengers in an A/B League championship game thriller that reminded of the close back-and-forth basketball we saw when these two teams met twice before in the regular season. Both regular games were nail bitters and the championship game was no different. The CACI team came out of the gate aggressive after many seasons of disappointment and were able to sustain the lead to capture their first A/B League title. CACI Andy Ping led the way again after averaging more than 17 points per game in a Final-MVP winning performance. Neil Mikulski also had a strong showing. If

5 there was a co-mvp, Neil would be it. He has been the heart and soul of the CACI team since the beginning of the team. B Division It doesn't get any better than the top two seeded teams in the division going head to head for the finals game! We knew we would meet Procon in the finals because they had a great regular season; and, they matched up really well against us, giving us our only loss during the regular season. Going into the finals game we knew we had to make a few adjustments mentally and physically in order to get the victory, and our game plan came manifested victory. Like our previous meeting with Procon, it was another toe to toe battle right from the beginning. The difference this time was that we knocked down some jump shots, rebounded better and, most importantly, played great defense. This victory wouldn't have happened without our MVP, Clint Edmund, stepping up on both ends of the court. Clint not only played well offensively, but on the defensive end he was able to stop one of their key players which led to us pulling away at the very end with a comfortable lead. Shout out to Procon for giving us a very competitive game, but it feels good to avenge our loss by winning the championship! C Division

The 40+ championship game was a hard-fought contest. The Generals and Wolftrappers met three times during the regular season, with the Generals coming out on top twice.

So, safe to say, these teams knew each other well. The Generals jumped out on top early with Lansing Freeman orchestrating the offense and MVP Jason Tulley providing scoring punch in the paint. Robert Symczak, Dick Beville, and Mike Moran added long range shooting, and the Generals enjoyed a comfortable halftime lead. In the second half, the Wolftrappers scratched and clawed their way back into the game. Tough defense, hustle, and smart play had the Generals lead down to single-digits by the second half s midway point. When Tulley fouled out of the game with about seven minutes to play, Generals bench Mick Baitinger, Kirk Cooper, and Mark Mrini matched the Wolftrappers intensity, Symczak hit clutch free throws, and the Generals held off the hard-charging Wolftrappers for a win. Both teams scored well under their season averages, highlighting the defensive intensity both teams brought to the table in this game. The Generals celebrated their first Legends Championship.
