The Salukis are the first of three first- me opponents on Liberty s 2015 schedule, along with Georgia State and Kennesaw State. 2 - New York Giants fans are familiar with both teams, as Southern Illinois graduate Brandon Jacobs played RB for the Giants for eight seasons and Liberty alum Rashad Jennings is in his second year as a Giants RB. Southern Illinois is the second of four straight Liberty opponents entering its matchup with the Flames off of a bye week. 3 - Southern Illinois is 0-2 to start the 2015 season and has lost four straight games da ng back to However, both of the Salukis losses this season have been by three points or less, including a setback at Indiana and a loss at Southeast Missouri. Saturday s game will mark the third me a Liberty athle c team has gone head-to-head with Southern Illinois, but the first me in Carbondale.
