2 2 Arapahoe County Tax Lien Section Arapahoe County s Online Tax Lien Sale begins at 8:00 AM MT on November 2, General Information: Our sale site, will open for registration, research and bidder deposits on October 13, Prior to that time, you may want to visit and participate in practice sales to become more familiar with the registration and sale process. Don t have a computer? No need to worry you can still participate in the sale. Treasurer Sue Sandstrom has made computers available for your use in her office at 5334 South Prince Street in Littleton. Office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Friendly and helpful Customer Service Representatives will be available to assist you during the sale. Bidding begins at 8:00 AM on November 2, 2017 and continues through 12:00 noon on Monday, November 6, On the last day, the sale will start to close in batches, with one batch closing each hour and the last batch closing at 12:00 noon. Procedures and rules about the sale are posted on our website at click on Departments, then click on Treasurer and also on our sale site at October 5, 12 and 19, 2017 Redemption Interest: The Federal Reserve discount rate as of September 1, 2017 was one and three quarters of one percent (1.75%); therefore, Certificates of Purchase sold at the 2017 Tax Lien Sale will carry the rate of eleven percent (11%) in accordance with Section , C.R.S. Properties for which multiple liens are being sold will be grouped and sold together. If current year taxes are also due on these properties, the current year amount will be advertised with the prior years in the beginning of the publication. Every effort has been made to remove from publication liens that cannot be sold. In the event that we are unsuccessful in removing one of these liens, the purchaser of said lien will be reimbursed his/her entire investment and will paid redemption interest at the statutory rate for erroneous sales.
