2 NEW MEXICO STATE AGGIES PLAYER PROFILES INTRO PLAYERS COACHES 07 REVIEW 08 PREVIEW RECORDS ADMIN Ka ua adolpho Defensive line SOPHOMORE L KAhuku, HAWAI I (Red Shirt Freshman): Adolpho played in six games for the Aggies in 2007, seeing time on special teams and at linebacker. He tallied three tackles on the season (Freshman): Adolpho was a red-shirt throughout the season. High School: Adolpho helped his team to a 25-1 record during his junior and senior year of high school while winning the state championship both seasons. His senior season Adolpho helped his team to an undefeated record of Personal: Adolpho is the son of Thomas and Laura Adolpho. He plans to major in internationl business. JUSTEN ALFord LINEBACKER junior TR Dillion, S.C. 24 Feather River College: Alford finished the 2007 season second on the team with 78 tackles, 36 solo and 42 assisted. He had 9.5 tackles for a loss for 35 yards, three sacks, one interception, two forced fumbles, one blocked kick and three pass break-ups on the year. High School: Alford was a star defensive lineman for Dillion High School in South Carolina. He helped his team to two league championships and a state runner-up spot his junior season. He was named an all-state and all-region selection his senior season, after tallying 80 tackles, 13 sacks and three forced fumbles. Personal: Alford is the son of Randall and Debbie Alford. He plans to major in business management. marcus ANDERSON wide receiver junior TR Austin, Texas 10 Pasadena City College: Anderson played two seasons at PCC where he was a 2007 all-state wide receiver/returner and a 2006 All-Mission Conference Second Team selection and a junior college all-american. He caught 84 passes for 846 yards and nine touchdowns in two seasons as a receiver for the Lancers. Anderson was excellent returning punts and kickoffs, as he averaged 14.5 yards per punt return with one touchdown and 29.2 yards per kickoff return with two touchdowns. He rushed the ball 10 times in two seasons with the Lancers for 59 yards and two touchdowns. In Anderson s final season at PCC, he caught 40 passes for 480 yards and six touchdowns, which ranked second on the team. He was named a second team all-american selection in In his year, Anderson had 44 receptions for 366 yards (8.3 yards per catch) with three touchdowns. He had a career-long kickoff return of 88 yards in 2007, a long punt return of 77 yards and his longest reception went for 86 yards, also in High School: Anderson earned first team all-district and first team all-league both his junior and senior seasons. He led the team in all-purpose yardage and receiving in both years. Personal: Anderson is the son of Charlotte Anderson. He plans to major in business administration. RHYAN ANDERSON Most Tackles In A Game 3 vs. Idaho, 10/20/07 2 vs. Fresno State, 11/30/ seven times DEFENSIVE END SENIOR L OAK CREEK, WISC (Junior): After transferring from the University of Miami prior to the season, Anderson started all 13 games for NMSU at the defensive end position. He grabbed 12 tackles on the season, five solo efforts, as well as two tackles-for-aloss, one sack, three pass break-ups and two quarterback hurries. His best game of the season came against Idaho (10/20) when he tallied three tackles (Sophomore University of Miami): Anderson played in only one game for Miami in (Freshman University of Miami): Anderson was a backup defensive end who played in eight games in He tallied four tackles (all solo), with two tackles for loss, one sack for a 12-yard loss and one quarterback pressure. Anderson played in his first game as a Hurricane versus Colorado, seeing limited action in the fourth quarter. He played against South Florida and then notched his first sack versus Duke, for a 12- yard loss. He saw limited action versus Temple, North Carolina and Virginia Tech, then played much of the Wake Forest game, where he made three tackles, one tackle for loss and a quarterback pressure. Anderson did not play against Georgia Tech and Virginia, then played as a reserve defensive lineman in the Peach Bowl against LSU (no tackles) (Red Shirt University of Miami): Anderson was a member of the Hurricanes scout team during his red shirt season. High School: Anderson was a Consensus National Top 100 player out of Oak Creek High School in Oak Creek, Wisc. He was widely regarded as one of the nation s top defensive ends. Anderson was a two-time all-state selection. He was named a SuperPrep All-America selection and was rated the No. 27 player in the nation on SuperPrep s National Elite 50. Rated the nation s No. 6 defensive lineman and the No. 5 player in the Midwest by SuperPrep. Anderson was also rated the nation s No. 1 strongside defensive end and the No. 12 player on the Rivals.com Midwest Major 50 list and the No. 1 prospect in Wisconsin by Rivals.com. He also earned EA Sports All-America honors and was named the Lineman of the Year and the Player of the Year by the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, as well as Wisconsin s Gatorade Player of the Year. As a senior in 2003, he made 118 tackles, 27 sacks, knocked down five passes, forced four fumbles and intercepted three passes when he led Oak Creek to a 12-1 record and the semifinals of the state playoffs. As a junior, he made 91 tackles, including 21 quarterback sacks. Anderson chose Miami over Ohio State, Oklahoma, Southern California and Florida

He tallied 12 tackles on the season and a forced fumble. Baiamonte recorded three games with at least two tackles (Southeastern Louisiana 8/30; Auburn 9/22; San Jose State 11/10) and at least one tackle in nine of the Aggies 13 games (Sophomore): Baiamonte participated in 11 games as a safety and on the special teams in He accumulated eight tackles, five solo and three assisted. He posted a seasonhigh two tackles, three times, against New Mexico (9/9), No. 15 Boise State (10/15) and Hawai i (10/21). 2005(Freshman): Baiamonte played in two games during the 2005 season. His best game came against Hawai i when he caught two passes for 14 yards (Red shirt Freshman): Baiamonte didn t see action in High School: Baiamonte threw for 1,700 yards and rushed for 1,000 as a senior at Albuquerque High. He was named allstate, all-district and all-metro at the quarterback position. Personal: Baiamonte was born in Laramie, Wyo., and is the son of Jim and Kim Baiamonte. High School: Aoelua was the Fagaitua High School starting linebacker for three years, helping his team to three straight island championships in 2003, 2004 and 2005, finishing as the island runner-up in Aoelua and Fagaitua High School posted back-to-back undefeated seasons in 2004 and He was a first team All-AHSS selection during his junior and senior seasons. In his senior season, Aoelua recorded 64 tackles, six sacks, two interceptions and five fumble recoveries. He also played in the Samoa Bowl in 2005 and 2006 and was named to the AHSS All-Star team both years. He was also a member of the honor roll all four years of high school. He tallied 16 tackles on the season, two solo and 14 assisted. He recorded a season-high four tackles against Hawai i (10/21). Versus No. 15 Boise State (10/15) and Louisiana Tech (12/2), he tallied three tackles apiece. He accumulated a single pass break three times against Southeastern Louisiana (8/31), New Mexico (9/9) and Texas Southern (9/16). He also posted three kick returns for 57 yards, with his longest against Texas Southern (9/16) as he ran for 23 yards. Against Idaho (10/7), he returned two kicks for 34 yards, his longest kick return was 19 yards. Palomar College: Betts played two years at Palomar College where he earned first team Mission Conference and first team All-State California Junior College in For his career, Betts grabbed eight interceptions. High School: During his senior season Betts helped his team to an 8-3 record and an Avocado League Championship. As a junior, Betts helped Oceanside to an 11-2 record, a league championship and a CIF Championship. He earned all-league honors in 2003 and played in the San Diego All-Stars game. Personal: Betts is the son of Michael and Toshiko Betts. He is majoring in individualized studies. PATRICK BLOUNT 2007 (Red Shirt Freshman): Blount played in 11 games for the Aggies in 2007 as a back-up offensive lineman. He saw most of his action at the right tackle and right guard positions. Blount helped the Aggie offense average yards passing per game and total offensive yards a game, as the Aggie offense finished fifth in the nation in pasing offense and 33rd in total offense. Blount was also part of an offensive line that gave up just 24 OFFENSIVE LINE SOPHOMORE L DALLAS, TEXAS 73 sacks on the season, a 16 sack improvement from 2006 (40). He also helped Aggie quarterback Chase Holbrook finish ninth in the nation in total offense with yards per game (Freshman): Blount was a red shirt throughout the season. High School: Blount was a three-year letter winner at Richland Hills H.S. in Dallas, Texas in football, track & field and wrestling. He played both center and left tackle, while benchpressing an impressive 300 pounds during his senior season. In 2005, Blount earned second team all-district honors. Blount was also recruited by UL-Monroe, Houston and Army. Personal: Blount is the son of Terry and Laura Blount. He plans to major in management. richard bolin offensive line senior L 63 bakersfield, calif (Junior): Bolin started all 13 games for the Aggies at center in Bolin helped the Aggie offense average yards passing per game and total offensive yards a game, as the Aggie offense finished fifth in the nation in passing offense and 33rd in total offense. He also helped Aggie quarterback Chase Holbrook finish ninth in the nation in total offense with yards per game. Bolin assisted in the protection of Holbrook, who broke 21 school records in As a team, the Aggies also broke three total offensive records, six passing records and tied the school s scoring record. He helped the Aggies record three games with over 500 yards passing, five games with over 400 yards passing and 11 games with over 300 yards passing (Freshman): Bolin played in 10 games for NMSU, racking up 12 tackles on the season, including one tackle-for-aloss. Against New Mexico (9/17) and Boise State (11/5), Bolin collected a career-high two tackles. He did collect at least one tackle in nine games. High School: Bolin registered 14 quarterback sacks, 42 solo tackles and 26 total tackles for loss in He was a first team all-area pick and the Southwest Yosemite League Defensive Player of the Year. He was a three-year starter on the offensive and defensive lines and a standout basketball player

He was a third team all-state, first team All- Southwest Yosemite League and first team all-area pick as a junior. He was also a two-time honorable mention all-league pick as a basketball player. Personal: Bolin was born in Delano, Calif., and is the son of Barry Bolin and Liz Graham. His major is secondary education. Ben Bradley Defensive Back R-Freshman RS Belleview, Fla (Freshman): Bradley red shirted during his first season with the Aggies. High School: Bradley was a defensive back and running back for the Belleview High School Diamondback Rattlers. He helped the Rattlers to a 6-4 overall record in 2006 and a second-place finish in district. Bradley was an all-district selection in football in As a junior and senior, he tallied five interceptions and returned one for a touchdown. As a senior he rushed for 700 yards. Personal: Bradley is the son of Shedrick Bradley and Mildred Butler. He plans to major in finance while at NMSU. KENNETH BUCKLEY Most Receiving Yards In A Game 116 vs. Nevada, 11/2/07 97 vs. Utah State, 11/17/07 Most Catches In A Game 6 vs. Idaho, 10/20/ Four Times Longest Reception 66 vs. Fresno State, 11/30/07 42 vs. Utah State, 11/17/07 41 vs. Nevada, 11/2/07 WIDE RECEIVER SENIOR L EVERMAN, TEXAS (Junior): Buckley played in 11 games for the Aggies in 2007, seeing limited action the first five games of the season, before bursting onto the scene in WAC play. Buckley made his impact felt in the Aggies first home conference game against Idaho (10/20) coming in for an injured Chris Williams. He grabbed a career-high six catches for 84 yards and his first two career touchdown receptions. He finished the season catching five passes in each of the Aggies last four games. Buckley had a career night on national television against Nevada (11/2), catching five balls for 116 yards and two touchdowns, including a long of 41. He then followed that performance with five catches for 28 yards against San Jose State (11/10). Buckley tallied his second highest receiving yardage game of the season with a 97-yard performance against Utah State (10/17), followed by a season ending show against Fresno State on national television, where he caught five passes for 76 yards and a touchdown, including a career-long 66 yard reception. On the season, Buckley caught 29 passes for 413 yards and five touchdowns. He was also a big part of the Aggie kick return game, tallying 124 kick-off return yards, including a seven return, 110-yard performance against San Jose State (11/10) (Sophomore): Buckley played in seven games as a wide receiver in He caught seven passes for a total of 51 yards. Against Texas Southern (9/16), he caught a season-high two passes for 11 yards. Then again against No. 15 Boise State (10/15) he caught a single pass for 11 yards. Versus San Jose State (11/4) he returned a kick-off for a season-high 16 yards. His season was cut short due to a knee injury during the San Jose State game (Red Shirt Freshman): Did not play in (Freshman): Buckley played in 11 games for the Aggies as a true, catching 10 passes for 87 yards. He also threw two passes, completing both for 52 yards and a touchdown. He also led the team in kick-off return yardage with 431 yards on 20 returns, averaging 21.5 yards a return. High School: Buckley was named first team all-district in football, basketball and baseball as a senior. He was also named Offensive Player of the Year in District 15-4A and his team s MVP. As a senior, Buckley caught 45 passes for 900 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was named Old Spice Player of the Year and named to the all-region team in the Fort Worth area. High School: Buschmann was a first team All-Centennial League selection for Columbine High School in He helped lead his team to a 10-2 record overall in 2005 and advanced to the second round of the 5A State playoffs. Buschmann also earned first team All-Colorado honors after helping Columbine rush for over 4,100 yards as a team in He was also recruited by Colorado, Iowa State, Michigan, Oregon and Oklahoma. Personal: Buschmann is the son of John and Janet Buschmann. While at NMSU, he plans to study sports medicine. Vince Butler Defensive Back Senior L Mesquite, Texas (Junior): Butler played in 11 games for the Aggies at defensive back, starting five games. He tallied 29 tackles, 16 of those solo efforts. Butler had one sack, two pass break-ups and a fumble recovery. His best game came against SEC powerhouse Auburn (9/22) as he grabbed eight tackles, his first career sack and pass break-up. Butler recorded five tackles against Boise State (10/7) and four tackles against UTEP (9/15) and Arkansas- Pine Bluff (9/29). NMMI: In two years at NMMI, Butler had 69 tackles, 12 pass breakups, one quarterback sack and one interception where he was primarily matched up against the opponent s top receiver. High School: In high school, Butler transferred from Los Angeles, Calif., to North Mesquite High School his junior year and spent that year as a running back. His senior year he moved to cornerback where in his first year at the position he earned honorable mention all-district accolades while recording 42 tackles along with two interceptions. Butler ran track at North Mesquite and he qualified for the regional state meet in the 400 meter dash. Personal: Butler is the son of Derrick and Antionette Raleigh. CANNON NOSE TACKLE R-JUNIOR rs ODESSA, TEXAS (Red Shirt Junior): Cannon red shirted during his first season with the Aggies. New Mexico Military Institute: Cannon lettered two years at New Mexico Military Institute where he played defensive end. He played in five games in 2006 and recorded three tackles. In 2005, he played in all 11 games and recorded 37 total tackles and one quarterback sack, ten of those tackles were tackles for a loss. Cannon attained the rank of 1st lieutenant in the corp of cadets at NMMI. High School: Cannon played for the Odessa High School Bronchos where he saw action at defensive end, tight end, fullback and offensive tackle. He was named the Redzone Player of the Year in He was also a power lifter in high school, earning regional champion awards in He finished ninth in the state power lifting meet in Cannon also played basketball and track & field. Personal: Cannon is the son of Ebbie & Holly Cannon. He plans on majoring in individualized studies. Ross Conner linebacker junior L las cruces, n.m (Sophomore): Conner saw action in 12 games in 2007 as a special team s member and back-up linebacker. On the season, Conner tallied 18 tackles and one sack for a loss of seven yards. His best game came at Auburn (9/22) when he recorded four tackles. Against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (9/29), Conner grabbed two tackles and his first career sack. In all, Conner recorded six games with at least two tackles (Red Shirt Freshman): Conner played in 11 games as a linebacker and on special teams for the Aggies. He recorded 12 tackles, seven solo and five assisted. Conner tallied one tackle for-a-loss of five yards and recorded his first career quarterback sack for a loss of five yards. Against Texas Southern (9/16) he tallied a season-high four tackles. He also tallied two tackles against UTEP (9/30), No. 15 Boise State (10/15) and Utah State (11/25). On the special teams, he competed in the kick-off coverage and kick-off return (Freshman): Conner red shirted during his first season Most Tackles In A Game 4 at Auburn, 9/22/07 4 vs. Texas- Southern, 9/16/ Five Times with the Aggies. High School: Conner was a three-year letter winner at Mayfield High School in Las Cruces. As a linebacker he helped Mayfield to an 18-3 record his junior and senior season. In 2003, he was a member of a Trojan program that went 10-1 and was the state runner up. His senior season, Conner was named a first team all-state selection and played in the New Mexico North-South game. Personal: Conner is the son of Tom and Judy Conner. He graduated in the top 10 percent of his high school class. Pine Bliuff, 9/29/07 5 vs. New Mexico, 9/8/ (Sophomore): Cotton started the first six games for the Aggies at outside linebacker before an ankle injury sidelined him four games in the middle of the season. On the year, Cotton tallied 35 tackles, five quarterback hurries, three pass break-ups and one tackle-for-a-loss of one-yard. Against Fresno State (11/30), Cotton recorded a career-high nine tackles, including a pass break-up. Versus Arkansas-Pine Bluff (9/29) he grabbed six tackles. He also tallied five tackles against I-25 rival New Mexico (9/8). Cotton recorded five games with at least four tackles (Red Shirt Freshman): Cotton competed in eight games as a linebacker and on the special teams for the Aggies. He tallied five tackles, two solo and three assisted. He posted a single tackled against Southeastern Louisiana (8/31), New Mexico (9/9), San Jose State (11/4), Fresno State (11/11) and Louisiana Tech (12/2) (Freshman): Cotton red shirted during his first season with the Aggies. High School: Cotton played two years under Coach Darnell Grant at Irvington High School in Irvington, N.J. In 2004, he played at the tight end position and helped the Knights to an 8-2 record. Diaz tallied two tackles in four different games (Southeastern Louisiana 8/30; Idaho 10/20; Nevada 11/2; Utah State 11/17) High School: As a defensive end for the Las Cruces Bulldogs, Diaz helped the Bulldogs to an 8-3 record in 2004 and a district championship. As a senior, he helped the Bulldogs to the state semifinals. Diaz was named an all-district selection in 2004 and 05 and was named Defensive Lineman of the Year in 2006 by Las Cruces High School. In 2006, Diaz played in the North-South All-Star Game leading the South team in tackles. In 2005 he tallied a team-high 10 sacks. He also lettered in baseball in 2004 and Personal: Diaz is the son of Dick and Michelle Diaz. He plans to major in civil engineering. Safety sophomore L widefield, colo (Red Shirt Freshman): Evora saw action in just one game in 2007 against Hawai i (10/27) (Freshman): Evora did not play in 2006 due to an injury. High School: Evora played safety and wide receiver for the Mesa Ridge Grizzles. During his senior season, Evora recorded 10 catches and four touchdowns, while averaging 28 yards per catch. SIOELI FAKALATA NOSE TACKLE JUNIOR L PALO ALTO, CALIF (Sophomore): Fakalata played in all 13 games for NMSU at nose tackle, starting one game against San Jose State (11/10). On the season, he tallied 20 tackles, three tackles-fora-loss and two sacks for a loss of eight yards. Versus Nevada (11/2) on national television, Fakalata recorded a season-high five tackles and his first sack of the season. He followed that performance with a three tackle effort against San Jose State (11/10) and Utah State (11/17). Before his injury, Fasavalu recorded two tackles. He received a medical red shirt. Long Beach City College: Fasavalu was the Vikings starter at free safety in 2006 and cornerback in In 2006, Fasavalu was second on the team in tackles with 50, recording two tackles-for-a-loss of five yards, three interceptions, a pass break-up and a fumble recovery. JULIUS FLEMING WIDE RECEIVER R-FRESHMAN RS BATON ROUGE, LA (Freshman): Fleming red shirted the 2007 season after having knee surgery prior to the season s start. High School: Fleming was Catholic High School s leading rusher in 2005 with 1,386 yards rushing, averaging 8.5 per carry and accounting for seven touchdowns. Fleming also caught 27 passes for 605 yards, averaging 22.4 yards per catch and eight touchdowns. He helped his team to a 12-1 overall record in 2005 and a spot in the state semifinals. He earned first team all-district, the District Most Valuable Player in 2005, first team all-metro and was a first team all-state selection in He was also selected to play in the Capital City Classic All-Star game. La auli Fonoti linebacker Senior L Kahuku, Hawai i 2007 (Junior): Fonoti competed in 12 games for NMSU at outside linebacker, missing one game due to injury. On the year, Fonoti tallied 63 tackles, which was fifth on the team. He also recorded seven tackles-for-a-loss, two sacks, two fumble recoveries and two pass break-ups. Fonoti tallied a career-high eight tackles, in three different games. Versus UTEP (9/15) he grabbed eight tackles, two tackles-for-a-loss and a sack. He threw for 3,973 yards, 38 touchdowns and ran for 745 yards as a two-year starting quarterback for the Saints. Galland was also an honorable mention all-league forward in basketball and a two-time all-league selection as a catcher for Interlake s baseball team. Tonny Glynn running back Junior l Lubbock, Texas (Sophomore): Glynn was part of the Aggies 1-2 punch running game in 2007, as he played in 10 games, starting six. On the season, Glynn ran for 456 yards on 81 carries and recorded four rushing touchdowns. He also caught 24 passes for 171 yards. He was also a vital part of the Aggies kick-off return game, tallying seven returns for 116 yards on the season. Glynn recorded 24 points on the season, which was fourth on the team. In the season opener against Southeastern Louisiana (8/30), Glynn rushed for 73 yards on six carries, recording a season long run of 55 yards. He also tallied a season-high 47 return yards. Against New Mexico (9/8) Glynn ran for a career-high 92 yards on 10 carries, while also catching a career-high seven passes for 38 yards. Versus Idaho, he rumbled for 88 yards on the ground on 11 carries and scored two touchdowns. Against UTEP (9/15) Glynn ran for 59 yards on 11 carries. Glynn then suffered a high ankle injury against Nevada (11/2) that forced him to miss the Aggies final three games of the season. He did rush for 31 yards and a touchdown against the Wolf Pack before being injured (Freshman): Glynn played in 10 games, starting two for NMSU at running back. Throughout the first six games at defensive back, Glynn tallied two tackles, one assisted and one solo. He had a tackle against New Mexico (9/9) and Idaho (10/7). The last four games he switched to the other side of the ball at running back. He recorded 76 yards rushing on 21 carries and tallied seven passes for 39 yards while scoring a touchdown. He also helped Aggie quarterback Chase Holbrook finish ninth in the nation in total offense with yards per game. Gutierrez was also part of an offensive line that gave up just 24 sacks on the season, a 16 sack improvement from 2006 (40) (Sophomore): Gutierrez made the jump from the defensive line to the offensive line in 2006, starting every game for the Aggies. Gutierrez assisted in the protection of quarterback Chase Holbrook, who broke 21 school records in As a team, the Aggies also broke three total offensive records, six passing records and tied the school s scoring record. He helped the Aggies record three games with over 500 yards passing, five games with over 400 yards passing and 11 games with over 300 yards passing. He helped the Aggies finish third in the nation in total offense, second in passing offense and 15th in scoring offense. He also became the school s all-time leader in receptions with his 11th catch against Utah State (11/17) breaking a 10-year mark set by Duane Gregory. He finished the game against Utah State with 12 catches for 68 yards and now has 191 receptions in his career. He also moved into fifth all-time in reception yards (1,848) and eighth in touchdown receptions (13). Against New Mexico (9/8) Harris recorded 10 receptions for 61 yards, followed by a seven reception game against UTEP (9/15). Harris had a career night on national television against Nevada (11/2), grabbing 11 receptions for 130 and two touchdowns. It was his first career 100- yard receiving game and his only two touchdown catches of the season. He then tallied a career-high 12 receptions against Utah State. In the Aggies final game of the season, Harris grabbed eight receptions for 86 yards. Harris best game of the season came against UTEP (9/30) as he grabbed a career-high 10 catches for another career-high 129 yards and a touchdown. High School: Johnson was a two-time all-conference selection as a kick-off return specialist, running back and defensive back for Mission Bay High School in San Diego. As a senior, he tallied 1,500 all-purpose yards, 720 of those yards rushing and scored nine touchdowns on the season. Johnson also recorded 85 tackles and four interceptions, returning one for a touchdown. High School: Martinez helped Los Alamos to a 9-2 overall record and 3-1 mark in district play, making the first round of the state playoffs. Martinez also played linebacker, recording 67 tackles and two sacks. He earned first team all-district and all-state. As a junior, Martinez rushed for 1,420 yards and 24 touchdowns, earning him first team all-state honors as a linebacker and punter and second team all-state as a running back.
