1 SENATORS REGULAR SEASON GAME SUMMARIES Oct. 4, 4-3 win vs. Pittsburgh (Stockholm): Tyler Kennedy's second goal of the night at 4:35 of overtime lifted the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 4-3 victory over Ottawa. Shean Donovan, Dany Heatley and Jason Spezza scored for Ottawa, while Filip Kuba tied a career high with two assists in his regular-season debut. Evgeni Malkin and Rob Scuderi also scored for the Penguins. Martin Gerber made 26 saves in the Ottawa goal, while Marc-Andre Fleury made 32 saves for Pittsburgh. 2 Oct. 30, 2-1 win at Florida: It was a night of firsts for the Senators in their 2-1 win over the Panthers in Sunrise, Florida. Ottawa recorded its first set of back-to-back wins of the season and had its first victory when the opponent scored first. Chris Kelly's game-winning goal halfway through the third period was his first of the season. Keith Ballard opened the scoring for the Panthers in the first period on a 5-on-3 power play. Dany Heatley scored Ottawa's first goal of the game early in the third period on the power play to tie the game at 1-1. Alex Auld took the win for Ottawa, stopping 25 of 26 shots. Tomas Vokoun took the loss, allowing two goals on 31 shots. After a scoreless first period, Alexandre Picard's power play goal at 5:04 of the second gave Ottawa a 1-0 lead.
