The service will provide media with the latest Senators information, including: practice schedules, roster moves, injury updates, ticket information, broadcast information, team announcements and visiting team information. MEDIA ACCESS TO SCOTIABANK PLACE The Scotiabank Place media entrance throughout the playoffs will be located at Gate 3 (South side of building beside YMCA). Club dressing rooms are located at ice (arena) level at lower Gate 3. ACCREDITATION MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES. PARKING Parking for game-day and non-game-day practices is available in Lot 3 (lot closest to the YMCA). However, media parking for game time is in Lot 4. Parking in Lot 4 is limited. Free parking and a parking spot are not guaranteed even if you have a pass. It is available on a first-come first-serve basis. MEDIA WORK ROOM The Scotiabank Place media work room located at lower Gate 3 will be available from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on non-game days and 9:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on game-days. The media workspace available in the new Senators Media Centre will only be available to photographers and out-of-town media. NEWS CONFERENCES AND POST-PRACTICE ACCESS News conferences during the playoffs for the head coaches following off-day practices, morning-of-game practices and post-game will be held in Senators Media Centre, located at the Gate 3 entrance of Scotiabank Place. All post-practice interviews shall take place at Scotiabank Place in the event the Senators use another facility for practice. ACCREDITATION All members of the media accredited for the entire Senators regular season can use their pass for the first three rounds of the playoffs. Visiting team media will receive series accreditation, which will be good for every Senators home game. Single game accreditation passes may be available by contacting the Senators communications department, by 3 p.m. on the day before the game. Requests must be made by by the respective media outlet s assignment/news editor. Ottawa media should contact the Senators staff for accreditation for away games. PRESS BOX SEATING As per each playoff year, seating in the press box will be very limited. Please be sure to check the seating plan prior to each game. PHONE LINES Media wishing to have a phone line or hardwire internet line reserved for them must make arrangements with the Senators communications staff. Wireless internet is available for each practice and game in the Senators press box. MEDIA AVAILABILITY ON THE ROAD Senators players and members of the coaching staff will be available to the media after non-game day practices, morning of game practices and games. 4 A LOOK BACK ON THE REGULAR SEASON TEAM NOTES SEASON RECAP: The Ottawa Senators finished the regular season with a record and 94 points The Senators finished fifth in the Eastern Conference and second in the Northeast Division The 44 wins by the Senators marked their most victories since and was the ninth 40+ win season in franchise history Forty-four wins is tied for fifth all-time for wins in a season by an Ottawa team Ottawa will be making their 12th playoff appearance in the last 13 seasons. ATTENDANCE REPORT: In 41 home games this season, the Senators averaged 18,270 fans per game and had 12 sell-outs as 749,061 fans visited Scotiabank Place... Scotiabank Place capacity is 19,153. HOME ON THE RANGE: Ottawa went at home this season... Ottawa s 26 wins at Scotiabank place marked just the fourth time in franchise history the team has won that many games at home Alfredsson led the team in home points with 29 (7-22) while Michalek led in goals (16). ROAD SCHOLARS: Ottawa went this season... Spezza led the Senators with 15 goals scored on the road, while Alfredsson 42 points (13-29) led all players Alfredsson s 42 road points were the sixth most by any player in the NHL this season and were accumulated in only 36 games played. FRANCHISE RECORD: Ottawa has posted an all-time record of over 1,364 games... Ottawa is through 682 all-time home games... Ottawa is through 682 all-time road games BACK-TO-BACK GAMES: The Senators played back-to-back games a total of 11 times in Ottawa went in the front end of back-to-back games this season and in the back end The Senators were in the back end of back-to-back games that were played at Scotiabank Place. ON THE POWERPLAY: The Senators went (16.9%, T20th) on the power-play this season The Senators played three games this year without a power play. BINGHAMTON SENATORS: The AHL's Binghamton Senators, Ottawa s primary affiliate, finished the season fifth in the AHL s East Division with a record and 81 points The B-Sens did not qualify for the AHL playoffs Team leaders: Goals Keller (34); Assists - St. Pierre (47); Points - St. Pierre (71); Penalty minutes - Spencer (136); Goals-against-average - Holt (2.95). INDIVIDUAL NOTES COACH CLOUSTON: Senators head coach Cory Clouston finished his first full season as Ottawa s head coach with a record Since taking over as Ottawa s head coach on Feb. 2, 2009, he has posted a career NHL head coaching record of (.586, 116 games)

5 Mr. 1,000: Daniel Alfredsson played in his 1,000th game on April 6 at Florida (5-2 win) Alfredsson became only the 44th NHL player to reach 1,000 games with one franchise and the third player from Sweden to do so Alfredsson s 71 points (20-51) lead the team in scoring, marking the second straight season (and fifth total) that he has accomplished the feat. 11 SCORES 20 for 10: Daniel Alfredsson s 20 goals this season marked the 10th consecutive season he has scored at least 20 There are only six active players who have scored 20 or more goals in each of the past 10 (or more) seasons, including Jarome Iginla (11), Vincent Lecavalier, Milan Hejduk, Marian Hossa, Joe Thornton and Alfredsson (10) OLYMPICS: Six members of the Senators organization participated in the 2010 Winter Olympics: Alfredsson (Sweden), prospect Daugavins (Latvia), Kuba and Michalek (Czech Republic), Ruutu (Finland) and Volchenkov (Russia). Ruutu won a bronze medal with Finland, his second Olympic medal after winning silver in IRON-MEN: Chris Phillips and Jarkko Ruutu were the only two members of the Senators who played in all 82 games this season Phillips has missed only one game over the last four seasons Ruutu has not missed a game due to injury in his two seasons with the Senators. MILESTONE WATCH: Mike Fisher established career highs in goals (25), assists (28) and points (53) this season His 25 goals led the team Jarkko Ruutu also set a career high with 12 goals and tied his career high (set in ) in assists (14) His 26 points were a career best Chris Kelly (15), Chris Phillips (8) and Anton Volchenkov (4) all tied career highs in goals. THIS AND THAT FROM THE SEASON: Spezza had 14 points (4-10) in the last eight games of the regular season... Karlsson recorded his first career two-goal game vs Carolina on April 1 (4-3 SO win)... It was only the second multiple-goal game by a rookie defenceman in Senators history, the first was by Sami Salo, who scored three goals at Pittsburgh on 3/30/99 Alfredsson matched a career high with four assists in the 5-4 OT win at Washington on March Spezza set a personal best and a new franchise record when he scored in his eighth consecutive game in Ottawa's 3-1 victory over Vancouver on Feb. 4 Elliott set a new career (and Senators) high with his ninth consecutive win on Feb. 4 (breaking his own record of eight, set in ) Alfredsson surpassed Yashin (six) to become the sole leader in franchise hat-tricks (seven) with his three goal effort against the Bruins on Jan Zack Smith s first NHL goal came shorthanded at Montreal (Jan, 16, 4-2 win) It was just the third time a Senators player scored his first career goal shorthanded (Trent McCleary and Antoine Vermette) Alex Kovalev became the fifth player in Senators history (Alfredsson, Havlat, Heatley, Hossa) to record a four-goal game (the first of his career) in Ottawa's 7-4 win over Philadelphia on Jan. 3 Mike Fisher's six game-winning goals this season were a career best (T10th - NHL for GWG)... Carkner finished tied for fifth (190) and Neil is seventh (171) in the NHL penalty minutes... Sutton ended second (204) and Volchenkov eighth (172) in the league in blocked shots... Neil finished seventh (251) in the NHL in hits, Fisher 15th (209) and Sutton tied for 19th (197). BLOCK PARTY: Anton Volchenkov set a new career regular-season high with 11 blocked shots in Ottawa s 6-5 win over Washington on Feb. 11 Over the last five seasons, Volchenkov has blocked 1,023 shots which is the most in the NHL Volchenkov finished eighth in the league with 172 blocked shots this season The Senators blocked 1,193 shots this season, eighth most in the NHL. BETWEEN THE PIPES: Senators goaltender Brian Elliott established new career highs in wins (29), shutouts (five), games played (55) and goals-against-average (2.57) this season He recorded consecutive shutout victories for the first time in his career March 22 at Montreal (2-0 win) and March 23 vs Philadelphia (2-0 win) and fell 9:31 shy of equalling Patrick Lalime s franchise best shutout streak of 184:06 (streak ended March 26 at Buffalo, 4-2 win) Elliott was the monthly Molson Cup award winner in Jan., Feb., March and shared the award with Fisher in Dec. Elliott was recognized as the first star of the week by the NHL for the period ending Jan. 25 and March 29 and the second star for the period ending Feb. 1 SENS DEBUTS: Seven different players made their NHL debut with the Senators this season, including Bobby Butler, Mike Brodeur, Jared Cowen, Kaspars Daugavins, Erik Karlsson, Ryan Keller and Derek Smith Of the players who played at least one game with Ottawa this season, 21 of them played their first NHL game in a Senators uniform: (Listed chronologically - Alfredsson, Phillips, Fisher, Neil, Volchenkov, Spezza, Kelly, Hennessy, Foligno, Elliott, Lee, Winchester, Regin, Z. After a scoreless first period, Prospal, Dubinsky and Del Zotto staked the Rangers to a 3-1 lead in the period, while Alfredsson scored Ottawa's goal. Gaborik gave the Rangers a 4-1 lead.
