3 TRAINING CAMP NOTES Camp roster The Senators camp roster includes 61 players: Five goaltenders, 21 defencemen and 35 forwards. Twenty-four (24) players participated in the 2015 rookie camp and tournament in Ottawa and London, Ont. The list of camp invitees is built primarily around the Senators draft. Thirty (30) players were selected by Ottawa in NHL drafts, 10 players were signed as free agents, 10 players were obtained in trades, nine players are signed to American Hockey League two-way contracts, one player is signed to an ECHL contract and one player is on an amateur tryout. The Senators season training camp roster included 57 players: Five goaltenders, 19 defencemen and 33 forwards. The list of camp invitees was built primarily around the Senators draft. Twenty-eight (28) players were selected by Ottawa in NHL drafts, 11 players were signed as free agents, 10 players were obtained in trades, seven players were on professional tryouts and one player was on an amateur tryout with the club. Rookie tournament The Senators participated in their 15th rookie camp and tournament from Sept This year s tournament was held in London, Ont., with the Montreal Canadiens, Pittsburgh Penguins and Toronto Maple Leafs also participating.
