2 2011 Rules and Procedures Tournament Rules: All playing rules will follow USA Hockey rules. Anyone assessed a game misconduct penalty is required to sit their next tourney game. Teams may dress a maximum of 18 skaters and 2 goalies. Only 3 certified team personnel members allowed on the bench during the game Penalty Breakdown Minor 1:30 min, Major 4:00 min, Misc 7:30 min. Game Procedures: Teams must be ready to take the ice following the previous game. All teams will go on the ice for a 3 minute warm up and stay on to start the game. All teams in 98, 99 divisions will play 3-15 minute periods. All teams in 01, 02, & 03 divisions will play 3-12 minute periods. There will be no time outs during round robin. 1 time out per team during the play-off round. There will be no overtime for the qualifying round. Play-off overtime will be 6 on 6 for 5 minutes running time. If still tied a shootout will follow with 5 shooters from each team. If tied after 5 shooters a sudden death shootout will continue until only 1 of the Standings & Seedings: All results and Standings will be updated on Teams should not assume their final seedings position, but wait for final seedings to be posted to the Tournament Website! Tie-Breaking Rules are detailed below Tie Breaking Rules to Determine Standings Position If two or more teams have an equal number of points, their position in the standings shall be determined by the following tiebreaking format. If one tie-breaker establishes a position for one or more teams, each team is placed in the applicable position. Once a team is placed, the remaining tied teams shall start the tiebreaking process over again at step 1. (If all tied teams have not played each other, then proceed to step 2. Note: a team may go into the tiebreaking process having defeated another of the tied teams and still not advance). The tie-breaker formulas are as follows: 1. The results of the head-to-head games played between the tied teams in the following order: a. Most points. b. Most wins. c. Goal Differential d. Fewest Goals Against 2. If after applying the formulas of 1 a, b, c, d the tie still exists, the results of ALL the games played by the teams tied in the following order: a. Most Points b. Most Wins c. Goal Differential d.
