1 Tab Ramos Sports Center Youth Roller Hockey Rules & Regulations 1) Age Divisions: Mite Divisions (Ages 6-9 Years Old) Squirt Divisions (Ages Years Old) Peewee Divisions (Ages Years Old) 2) Rosters: Tab Ramos Sports Center will hold an evaluation of all players for each division prior to the season starting and will put teams together based player skills. 3) Goalies: is the only player then can play for multiple teams in the same age division. 4) Registration: To register a player a fee of $140 must be paid to Tab Ramos Sports Center prior to the season starting. Goalies play for free 5) Referee Fees: Every registered player (including goalies) must pay a $25 cash referee fee before week #1 of games 6) Schedules: All seasons will consist of 9 regular season games plus playoffs 7) Equipment: All players must wear the following: skates (inline or quad), helmet (with cage or shield), elbow pads, athletic supporter & cup and shin guards. Goalies must wear the following: skates (inline or quad), helmet with a full frontal cage, full chest & arm protection, blocker, glove, padded girdle, athletic supporter & cup and full leg pads. All gear for both the skater and goalie must be H.E.C.C. approved. 8) Uniforms: Every registered player will receive a team jersey week #1. 9) Start of Play: All teams will be given a warm up period between 3-5 minutes, after warm up the game will begin. Any team that does not have enough players after the warm up period will be issued a 2 minute delay of game penalty and give additional 5 minutes. At the conclusion of the additional 5 minutes if the team still does not have enough players that game will be deemed a forfeit. Teams may play a game down 1 player required on the floor with a goaltender or play without a goalie with full man power.

2 10) Regular Season Tied Games: Teams will play an additional 5 minute running time sudden death overtime period. If the game is tied after overtime period the game is deemed a tie. During overtime period teams will play down 1 man. Example leagues will play 3v3 in overtime. 11) Playoff Tied Games: Teams will play an additional 5 minute running time sudden death overtime period. If the game is tied after period teams will then enter into a 3 man shootout. Each team will designate 3 different shooters before the shootout begins. High seed team has choice on either shooting or defending first. If still tied after 3 man shootout it will then go to a sudden death shootout, at that time any of the 3 shooters may shoot again but may not shoot 2 times in a row. During sudden death teams do not have to use their entire roster. 12) Termination of Penalty Times: At the termination of penalty time on the scoreboard the player must exit the penalty box onto the floor and can either enter play or go to the bench for a change (the player must touch the floor not jump penalty box board into bench). If the penalty expires during a stoppage of play the player must wait till the next drop of the puck to be able to exit the penalty box. 13) Classification of Penalty Times: Tab Ramos Sports Center will use the NHL guidelines of types of penalties (tripping, slashing & so on). We will not be using the shooting puck of glass penalty in defensive zone unless player does it on purpose anywhere on the rink. Each penalty called can be classified in the following penalty times: 2 minute minor 4 minute double minor 5 minute major (non-suspend able) 5 minute major intend to injure (automatic suspension) 10 minute misconduct Game misconduct (possible suspension based on incident) Any player who receives 4 penalties in a game will be rejected for the remainder of the game. Double minors and major penalties will count as 2 infractions. Any player who accidentally draws blood during a penalty called will receive a 4 minute double minor penalty. 14) Fighting: Any player that throws a punch with or without a glove will receive a 5 minute major intent to injure penalty and automatically receive a 1 game suspension and possibly more.

3 15) Third Man: Any player that enters an altercation will receive an automatic game misconduct with the possibility of a game suspension. 16) Leaving the Bench: Any player who leaves the bench during an altercation will receive an automatic game misconduct with the possibility of a game suspension. 17) Suspension Notice: If a player receives a major intent to injure penalty or game misconduct it is the captain s responsibility to contact management to see if that player(s) is suspended. Notice will also be posted on website. 18) Face offs All face offs at the start of the game, periods, and after goals will take place at the center rink face off dot. All other face off drops will take place according to the situation. o Goalkeeper save (low attacking zone spot on the side the shot came from) o Off sides (on one of the face off dots outside the attacking zone or where the pass originated from) o Icing (on one of the defensive zone dots where the clearing came from) o Deflection out of play including puck striking the nets above the glass. Faceoff will take place at the closest faceoff dot. o After a penalty call all faceoff s will take place in the offensive zone for team receiving the powerplay. o Puck played by a players stick above shoulder length (all the way back to the defensive zone dot.) o Face offs in the expanded attacking zone. If the zone was already gained by the offensive team and the puck goes out of play off a defensive player outside the blue line but still in the expanded attacking zone, the puck will dropped in deep on the faceoff dot. o When the puck is put out of play from a post or crossbar deflection the faceoff will remain in the offense zone.

4 o Within the last 5 seconds of every period if the faceoff is in a defensive zone the clock will stop. 19) Goals and assists only the referee and the scorekeeper will be allowed in the calling of goals and assists. The puck must be completely over the goal line (the back end of the final blue tiles in the crease) for the referee to call it a goal the player who previously passed the puck to the player who scored will be issued an assist. 20) Goal posts are not magnetized down and will occasionally come off its spots. If a goal is scored and the net is off (a little) both referees will determine whether or not the puck would have crossed the goal line if the net was on its original position, a goal can be awarded in this situation 21) Goalkeeper s crease and privileged area the goal crease is defined by the blue tiled area in front of the goal. No player may enter this area unless the puck is there and uncovered by the goalkeeper. The goal keepers privileged area is an area bounded in the rear end boards, in front by an imaginary line connecting the end zone face off spots and on the sides by imaginary lines extending perpendicular from the end boards to the end zone face off spots. In this area the goalkeeper will be allowed to freeze pucks and stop play (only if there is pressure in the vicinity). No one will be allowed to intentionally touch the goalkeeper in this area. Crease violation (If a player enters the crease without the puck being there first and if the player is a distraction to the goalkeeper the whistle will stop play and a face off will take place outside the attacking zone spots.) The no harm no foul rule will be in effect. Though if a player deliberately makes contact with a goalkeeper inside or outside of the crease area a minor penalty can be assessed. 22) Hand passes Legal when started and completed in the defensive zone 23) Referees The Referee shall have general supervision of the game and shall have full control over, Team officials and players before, during and after the game, on and off the rink surface. In case of any dispute, the decision of the referee shall be final. 24) Point Sytem Winning Team Will Receive 2 Points Overtime Losing Team Will Receive 1 Point Tied Game Both Teams Will Receive 1 Point Losing Team during Regulation Will Receive 0 Points 25) Tie Breakers: 1. Head to Head 2. Goals Against 3. Goals For

5 4. Goals Against In First Regular Season Game 5. Goals For In First Regular Season Game Note: When there is a 3 way tie in points Head to Head is eliminated & Goals Against will become the 1 st tiebreaker then Goals For and so on.
