With his first game played this year, Elias Lindholm will make his NHL debut. The Hurricanes drafted Lindholm with the fifth overall pick in the 2013 NHL Draft. Carolina dropped decisions against Columbus, at Buffalo and in Quebec City against Montreal to open the preseason. The Hurricanes then blanked Montreal 3-0 at the Bell Centre on Sept. 21, and scored wins at Columbus (2-1) and against Buffalo (1-0) to wrap up the exhibition slate.
