1 Progressive Barrel Racing Association Newsletter March 2017 March 5 th, 2017 was our monthly show at South Buckeye Equestrian Center. The weather was nice and we had yet another great turnout. We are growing each month with new members and it has been so fun to meet new people and make new friends! Since we have so many new members I wanted to make sure to point out some of the rules and regulations that are important for our new members to know. We are a VOLUNTEER based club. We depend on our members, and/or their family members to help keep things running quickly, safely, and smoothly each month. Volunteering is REQUIREMENT in addition to participating, in order to be eligible for year-end awards. Our by-laws state: Member/horse combinations are required to make 3 runs in an event to qualify for the year end payback and awards. Members are also required to volunteer, or have someone volunteer on their behalf, at a minimum of 3 events per year to be qualified for year-end awards. A sign up form to volunteer is available at the sign up desk. It is the member s responsibility to make sure they sign the sign up form and that they have confirmed with a board member to verify they worked at the show by the time the show has ended. A copy of our by-laws are available at the sign up desk each month. As a reminder, the results are usually posted by the following weekend on our Facebook Page as well as Our next show is scheduled for Sunday, April 2, 2017 ARENA TO BE DETERMINED!!!! Books will open at 8:00 am.
