He rushed for 222 yards which was third best in school history. Keith set the single season record for total yardage with 191. He was third on the career total yardage behind Rick Cottle and Mike Marshall (197). Mike Marshall was named 1st team All-State, the first Bison since the great Jack Faust in Also, Greg Washington was recognized as 3rd team All-State for his outstanding season at running back. This great season marked the end of Coach McGee outstanding coaching career. After 24 years at the helm of the Bisons, Coach McGee would retire posting a terrific record of as the Head Coach of. William and Washington were the only 2 backs to run for over 1 yds on the same team in history. In no game did the defense allow more than two touchdowns. District 5 had no district playoffs until the following season. When Coach McGee was asked about his team s lack of opportunity to play in a district playoff, he stated his squad s victories spoke for themselves as defeated District s AA Bishop Guilfoyle and AAA Forest Hill Champions. The squad was also Altoona WTAJ-Channel 1 the #1 ranked team in the Altoona area. If there would have been a state playoff in 195 would have been one of the four teams according to the Harrisburg Patriot. After seasons of 9-1 (193) as sophomores, 7-2 (194) as juniors, the 195 seniors went 1- compiling a 3 year record of -3. This was the best three year record of any class in High School History.
