1 CHALLENGE FLORIANÓPOLIS Chapter I RACE Article 1 - The CHALLENGE FLORIANÓPOLIS will be take place on November 30th, 2014, Sunday in Jurerê Internacional, Florianópolis/SC. Article 2 - The CHALLENGE FLORIANÓPOLIS will be disputed in the following Categories: I Male Age Groups (18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and above 70 years of age); II - Female Age Groups (18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and above 70 years of age); III Male Elite and Female Elite. IV Relay Teams (can be double or trios composed of men, women and mixed). Article 3 - For classification of age groups, the age of the athlete should be considered from December 31st, The exception occurs for participants with the minimum age of 18 completed by November 30th, 2014, the date of the race. Article 4 - The athlete in the period between January to December 2014, that competed as a Professional/Elite in Ironman 70.3 and/or Ironman, and/or similar events with the same distances, anywhere in the world, can only participate in the Challenge Florianópolis 2014 in the Elite category. Article 5 - The race will start at 06:10am if sea conditions are safe for the realization of the swimming stage. If conditions are unfavorable for the start of the swimming stage, this will be replaced by a 5K run, with an expected start time of 07:00am. Article 6 - SWIMMING will be performed in waves following the start times I. 06:10am (Elite Men) II. III. 06:13am (Elite Women) 6:20 (Age Group Categories). IV - 6:30 a.m. - Male Age-Group (45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and above 70 years); V - 6:35 a.m. - Male Age Groups (18-24, 25-29, 40-44); VI - 6:40 a.m. - Male Age-Group (30-34); VII - 6:45 a.m. - Male Age-Group (35-34);

2 VIII - 6:50 a.m. - Relay Teams. IX The limit time to enter the starting line area is a 6h00 min. The swim course is one loop of 1,9 km, with eletronical control at the end of the swim, when the athlete leaves the starting area. The athlete will have to follow the rules below: X - It is mandatory that the athlete has painted and/or stickered the number on his/her body. The number/sticker will be given together with the race kit; XI - It is mandatory that access to the starting area is done by the electronic control gate; XII - The athlete must go around the buoy s vertices of the course. Failing to do so will result in disqualification; XIII - It is mandatory to wear the swim cap provided by the Organization. Failing to do so will result in disqualification; XIV - It is forbidden the use of swimming aids (palmar, fins, gloves, etc.). Their use will result in disqualification; XV - The use of a wetsuit is permitted for the Age Group athletes, if the water temperature does not exceed 27 C. The professional athlete can only wear a wetsuit if the water temperature is at or below 22 C. The Event Managers will measure the water temperature during the Technical Meeting, informing the results measured. Within 1 hour of the start time there will be a new scan, the results will be announced via sound system, which will define the use of the wetsuit by the Elite category; XVI - If the professional athlete uses a wetsuit without the permission of Event Managers, it will result in disqualification; XVII - It is prohibited to use the beach for running, except in the areas marked by the Organization. Disobedience by the athlete will result in their disqualification; XVIII - The warm-up (in water) in front of the starting area ends 15 min before the first start (Elite Men); Article 7 - The course for the CYCLING stage has 90 km, with two laps of 45 km each. The athlete must obey the following rules: I - It is mandatory to wear a buckled and hard helmet, when the athlete is in contact with the bike. Non-use of the helmet will result in disqualification; II - The athlete cannot ride with naked torso. This situation will result in the imposition by the referees, a red card (disqualification); III - The competition number must be visible on the bike, back and helmet of the athlete,

3 and cannot be altered from its original form. Ignoring this implies in a penalty yellow card; IV - The athlete must push the bike until it is completely over the designated "mount line" outside of the transition area. And the competitors must dismount their cycle before the designated "dismount line", before accessing the transition area. Failing to do so, they will be penalized 5 minutes form the total time; V - It is forbidden to draft (i.e. take shelter behind or beside another competitor or motor vehicle). The athlete must maintain a distance equal to or greater than 10 meters from the ahead competitor, considering the front edge of the front wheel of his/her bicycle. It is not permitted to ride side by side or a smaller side distance of 1.5 meters from the other athlete. The violation of this rule will be punished by the imposition of the referees with a yellow card; VI - Once he/she has entered the "draft zone" of an another competitor, the athlete must be seen to be progressing through the zone. If an overtaking manoeuvre is not complete within 20 seconds, the overtaking cyclist must drop back out of the zone VII The overtaking is defined when the athlete that is outpacing reaches the front wheel axis parallel with the axis of the front wheel of the athlete who is being overtaken. The athlete who was passed cannot prevent the overtaking and should retract and completely exit the other athlete s draft zone - only then he/she can try to retake the position. Not complying by this rule will result in a yellow card; VIII - When the athlete is penalized with a yellow card, he/she will be warned verbally or through stop and go by the referee on route. The athlete penalized with a yellow card, must stop ten (10) minutes in the Penalty Tent, which will be in the transition area for the cycling race. If the athlete does not comply with the penalty received, they will be disqualified. The stop and go does not mean the athlete must not spend the 10 minutes in the penalty tent; IX - In the Penalty Tent, the athlete can only hydrate and go to the bathroom. If you need medical attention, the Area Referee must authorize it; X - The athlete who receives two yellow cards or a red card in one stage will be disqualified and may not continue the race. XI - The organization will provide mechanical support along the course, if required. Article 8 - The RACE stage has 21.1 kilometers to be covered in three laps of 7.03 km each. The following rules must be followed:

4 I - The race number is mandatory, and should be positioned in front of the competitor visibly and unaltered. Not using the number will result in disqualification; II It is prohibited for the athlete to be accompanied by someone other than the Organization (pacing). If the Referee identifies this situation, the athlete will receive a yellow card; III - The athlete cannot run with the naked torso. This situation will result in punishment of a red card (disqualification); IV - When penalized, the athlete should stop. The Referee marks a diagonal line on the race number (a dash for yellow card/ two dashes for red card); V - The athlete who receives a yellow card during the race will have 5min. Added to his/her final time; VI - The athlete who receives two yellow cards or a red card in the stage will be disqualified and may not continue the race. Article 9 - Every athlete entered in the competition must be insured from the moment of departure, to the end of his or her participation in the competition. The Organization is not responsible for any injuries with the athlete before or after the race. Article 10 - The Insurer will cover medical and hospital expenses up to $ 5, (five thousand dollars). Costs above this value will be responsibility of the athlete. Article 11 - The Organizing Committee has no responsibility for the medical care of athletes, medical expenses in case of hospitalization or injury caused by the sport. However, in compliance to the rules of CBTRI (Brazilian Triathlon Federation), there will be available an ambulance service for emergency situations for all athletes and their transportation to the nearest public hospital. Article 12 - The athlete or his/her companion may decide by the removal or transfer to hospitals in the private health system, exempting the Organizing Committee of any liability or reimbursement for costs of such medical care. Article 13 - Considering the rules of procedure, the technical and safety aspects of the test routes in the Regulation could change until the time of the delivery of the kits. Chapter II REGISTRATION Article 14 - Entries will be done only by the site during the period of April 1st to October 20th 2014 or until the technical limit of 1,100 (one thousand one hundred) individual athletes and one hundred (100) teams relay. Registration includes Race Kit and Pasta

5 Dinner, which presence must be confirmed until October 20th 2014, by and the Closing Party. Article 15 - Deadlines and Costs: Categories Vagas 15/03 a 17/03 01/04 a 30/06 01/07 a 20/10 Individual Athletes Dash U$ 310,00 x x Individual 600 x U$ 310,00 U$ 390,00 Team Relay 100 x U$ 390,00 U$ 445,00 Article 16 - Upon registration, by agreeing with the Regulation and by checking the option presented on the online system, the participant accepts all terms of the Regulation and assumes full responsibility for their participation in accordance with the disclaimer as part of this Regulation. Article 17 - The registration is non-transferable to third parties or to other editions of CHALLENGE FLORIANÓPOLIS under any medical or personal argument. The participant who gives their registration away, shall be responsible for any accident or damage he/she may suffer, exempting the service and any liability of the Organizing Committee of the event, its sponsors, supporters and public agencies involved in the race. (The participant may not sign away his registration, under penalty of being suspended any event by Associação de Triatletas da Grande Florianópolis ATGF, along with the athlete who accepted enrollment, for a period of two years). Article 18 - In case of cancellation of registration, for whatever reason, until September 15th, 2014, athletes will receive half of the amount paid by way of reimbursement, after this date, no amount will be refunded in any case. Article 19 - Registration must be paid in full by bank transfer or credit card. Article 20 - The Organizing Committee may at any time suspend or extend deadlines or even raise the limit number of entries, depending on needs, technical availability and/or structural issues, without further notice. Article 21 - Participants are responsible for the accuracy of information provided. If there is a proven fraud, the athlete will be disqualified from the competition and respond for the crime of misrepresentation and/or documentary.

6 Chapter III DELIVERY OF KITS Article 22 - The race kit will be delivered on days 27, 28 of November 2014 from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm and on 11/29/14, from 09:00am to 01:00pm at the Expo, located at the end of the Hotel IL CAMPANÁRIO Jurerê Internacional, Florianópolis/SC. The athlete who does not pick up the kit at this time may not compete. The athlete, who does not pick up his/her kit on the dates and times listed above, will forfeit the kit. No kits will be delivered on the day of the event or after. Article 23 - To pick up the kit, the participant must appear in person and present an official identity document with photo, the former may also be aware of and in accordance with the Regulation. Article 24 - The race kit is non-transferable. Athletes enrolled who do so, will be suspended (along with the athlete who received the kit), two years of any race carried out by the Association of triathletes of Florianópolis - ATGF. Article 25 - Upon picking up the athlete kit, you should give your personal information. Complaints will not be accepted after the withdrawal of the kit. Single Paragraph: In order to check in for the athlete's kit by a third party, required to present an authenticated power of attorney notarized and a copy of ID and SSN (or such), of the athlete and the person authorized, in case of foreign athletes consider a copy of the passport. Chapter IV INSTRUCTIONS AND RULES FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION Article 26 The bike check-n is Mandatory and will take place 11/29/14, at the entrance to the transition area, between 14:45 pm and 19:45 pm. The competitor must submit the equipment used in competition: bike with proper race number and helmet with race number pasted on front. Article 27 - The bike checkout will be made exclusively on 11/30/14, from 11:30am until 2:30pm, upon delivery of the anklet with chip. If for some reason the athlete is unable to show, he/she will appoint someone, with proper documentation that may pick up their bags and bicycle upon presentation of the documents, the voucher and the chip. If the bike is not picked up between 11:30am and 2:30pm the Organization shall assess a fine in the amount of $ (thirty dollars) per extra hour. If the chip and anklet are not returned, a fine of R$ (one hundred reais.) will be accessed, as compensation to the Organization for misplaced equipment. The organization is not responsible for unclaimed bicycles during the checkout. Article 28 - The organization is not responsible for athletes' belongings lost inside or outside the

7 transition area, outside the period of the check-in until the end of checkout. Article 29 - Considering the start time of the race, each stage has a time limit to be complete. SWIMMING will have a maximum time of 01:00 hour. CYCLING has a maximum time of 5h00min, including the swimming time. The time limit for the event will be 7h:30min. Athletes who exceed the time limit will be disqualified and must exit the route. As the time limit reaches for each stage, the security apparatus of each route will be demobilized. Article 30 - The athlete, who does not strictly conform to the course of each stage, will be disqualified at any time upon proof of official documentation. Article 31 - Any physical or moral aggression from the competitor, to any member of the organization, and/or use of illegal means to gain advantage against other competitors and/or attitudes that undermine the integrity of the organization of the event, will be punished by disqualification, allowing the athlete/offender to be suspended from other races held by the Association of Triathletes in Florianópolis - ATGF. Article 32 - Cycling and Running returns will be done by electronic control. Article 33 - There will be posts for food and hydration for the Cycling and Running stages. Article 34 - If you choose to change clothes between stages, do so in the Support Tent. The time spent is at your own risk as this it is not mandatory but an optional procedure. The articles of clothing or equipment should always be left with the bike. Therefore, the athlete should first pick up the articles of exchange together with their bike, change in the tent and return to the place where they left the changed articles. Each athlete will receive 3 bags of different colors. A green, which can be used to store your clothes before the race. A red bag where the athlete can put their wetsuit after the swim stage. A blue bag that the athlete will use to put their equipment in the transition area (shoes, sunglasses, socks, supplements, etc..) The use of this bag is optional. Article 35 - It is the responsibility of each athlete for the handling of his or her bags. They should be organized along the bike in the transition area. After use, the athlete should put them back together on the bike in an organized manner. Article 36 - It is of mandatory use by all competitors throughout the race, the "chip anklet " provided by the organization. Article 37 - On race day, Sunday, the Transition Area will open at 4:00am and close at 5:45am Article 38 - Medical assistance may withdraw an athlete from the race, at physician's discretion, if he/she does not to present conditions continue. Article 39 - The organization has the power to decide situations not cited in this Regulation. The

8 questions arising from the application or interpretation of these Rules, will be analyzed and decided by a Jury of Competition, composed of 02 representatives of the race s Technical Direction; 01 representative of the Municipal Sports Foundation of Florianópolis; 01 representative of the Federation of State Triathlon of Santa Catarina; 01 Commission Representative of Calculation; 01 representative of the athletes nominated during the Technical Meeting, and 01 representing the Association of Triathletes in Florianópolis - ATGF. I - Registrants and participants may appeal to the Jury of Competition after the publication of the results, which will be posted on the wall next to the Secretary of Competition until 6:00pm on November 30, 2014; II - The appeal shall be submitted by the competitor or his legally appointed representative to the President of the Jury of Competition, on the appropriate form provided by the Organization of the race; III The period for appeal will be from 6:00 to 6:30 on November 30, 2014 at the Registry of the Competition; IV - Upon submission of the appeal, the author shall pay a fee in the amount of $ (one hundred dollars), an amount that will be refunded in case of a favorable decision; V - The appeal should include: identification of applicant (full name and competition number, if represented, attach the power of attorney) and a brief explanation of the facts giving meaning to the appeal; VI - This resource cannot be held against interpretations of the referees; Article 40 - Participants are subject to drug testing, to be held in a qualified laboratory, accredited by WADA, from the moment of picking up the kit until the end of the awards. Adverse analytical results will be penalized by disqualification and exclusion of the athlete from the competition and his suspension for a period of not less than two years from all races organized by the Association of Triathletes in Florianópolis ATGF. Besides forwarding the test results to all relevant bodies (Brazilian Anti-Doping Agency, CBTri / COB and WTC). Also, the suspension of athletic events of the Association of Triathletes Greater Florianópolis ATGF, not exempt from penalization by other organizers and/or federations. Capítulo V TEAMS RELAY Article May be composed of two (02) or three (03) athletes. The team that has athletes in its formation male and female will be considered mixed. Ex: Masc./Fem./Masc. or Fem./Masc./Fem.

9 Article Will be considered as regular the teams composed of the of the same gender. Ex: Masc./Masc./Masc. ou Fem./Fem./Fem. Article 42. It is mandatory to entry of all the team athletes together in the transition area within the time limit, if any athlete of the team it is not present until the time limit the team will be disqualified. Article 43. The athlete of the team can only start the race when receiving the CHIP given by the organization, if not fulfilled, the team will be disqualified. The swimmer swims with CHIP, passes it to the cyclist, the cyclist comes back with the CHIP, and gives it to the runner. Article 44. The athlete of the team must wait on the side of the of their bike support. In case the athlete receives the CHIP out of this location will be penalized. Article 45. To remove the material from the transition area, it is obligatory to give the CHIP and the number of the bike. Article 46. It is forbidden for any athlete of the team to race in another modality before or after the completion of his modality. A team that fails to accomplish this item will be disqualified. Article 47. The awards will be given to three (03) first teams within their subdivisions - Regular / mixed. Article 48. In order to receive the awards is necessary to present an identity document of all the team members. Single paragraph: The remaining items of the regulation are the same category Age Groups. Chapter VI AWARDS Article 49 - All competitors who complete the full race will receive a medal and a finisher shirt. Trophies will be given for the top three athletes in each age group Male/Female. The first five Male/Female Elite athletes. Article 50 - The prize money for the Elite athletes will be distributed as follows: I - The first placed Male/Female.. Receives the gross amount of EUR 5, (five thousand euros); II - The second placed Male/Female.. Receives the gross amount of EUR 2, (two thousand five hundred euros); III - The third placed Male/Female.. Receives the gross amount of EUR 1, (Euro one thousand five hundred and fifty); IV - The fourth-placed Male/Female.. Receives the gross amount of EUR 1, (one

10 thousand euros); V - The fifth-placed Male/Female.. Receives the gross amount of EUR (seven hundred and fifty euros); VI - The sixth-placed Male/Female.. Receives the gross amount of EUR 500,00 (five hundred euros); VII - The seventh-placed Male/Female.. Receives the gross amount of EUR (four hundred and fifty euros); VIII - The eighth placed Male/Female.. Receives the gross amount of EUR 350,00 (three hundred and fifty euros); IX - The ninth placed Male/Female.. Receives the gross amount of EUR 250,00 (two hundred and fifty euros); X - The tenth placed Male/Female.. Receives the gross amount of EUR 150,00 (one hundred and fifty euros). Article 51 - Bonuses related to best split swimming, cycling and running, will be distributed as follows: I - Professional athlete with the best net time swimming Male/Female, receives the gross amount of EUR (EUR two hundred eighty-five); II - Professional athlete with best net time cycling Male/Female, receives the gross amount of EUR (EUR two hundred eighty-five); III - Professional athlete with best net run time of Male/Female.. Receives the gross amount of EUR (EUR two hundred eighty-five); Single paragraph: Any prize money will be paid by the Organizing Committee with the deduction of taxes in a period of 60 (sixty) days from November 30, Article 52 - The athlete must be present, or appoint someone to represent them on the day of the awards, not doing so, will result in loss of award. Article 53 - The official results of the competition will be informed through the official event website, within 72 hours after completion. Single Paragraph - The Organizing Committee is not liable for non-disclosure of the result of athletes who did not use the chip correctly. Chapter VII DISCLOSURE AND COPYRIGHT LAW Article 54 - The athlete who enrolls and/or attends this event is unconditionally accepting and

11 agreeing to have their picture published through photos, movies, radio, newspapers, and magazines Internet, television or any other means of communication for informational, promotional or publicity relating to the competition uses, without imposing any burden on the organizers, not expecting to receive any income that may be earned with such rights, sponsors and media communication at any time/date. Article 55 - All event participants, athletes, staff, organizers and the general public, assign all rights to use your image as for the event organizers. Article 56 - Location, television broadcasting, photography or video related to the race/competition has all rights reserved to the organizers. Single Paragraph - Any form of distribution or interest in a professional intended for coverage of the event will be subject to authorization and approval by the organizing company. Chapter VIII FINAL PROVISIONS Article 57 - Questions or technical information should be sent to the site which will be available through the contact link. Article 58 - The Organizing Committee may at its discretion or as required by the event, amend or repeal this regulation, in whole or in part, stating the changes by the official website - florianopolis.com. Article 59 - The Organizing Committee shall settle doubts and omissions to this regulation in a sovereign manner, with no recourse to these decisions. Florianópolis, October 24, 2014.

12 Terms of Responsibility I,, enrolled in ID or Passport, the perfect use of my faculties, DECLARE for all due purposes of law: 1. I am aware that this is a course of 113 km, divided into 1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21.1 km running. 2. I am in full physical and psychological conditions to participate in this race, and I am aware that there are no medical issues that prevent me from physical activities. 3. I assume, by my own free will, all the risks involved and their consequences in participating in this RACE (including possibility of death and disability), exempting the Association of Triathletes of Florianópolis, its organizers, sponsors and collaborators of ANY AND ALL LIABILITY for any material, moral or physical damage, which may subsequently suffer, due to participation in this RACE. 4. I have read, know, accept and submit myself fully to all terms of Regulation of this RACE. 5. I declare that I will not be at nor use the areas of the event route, at the kit distribution or any other area of visibility, for means of personal marketing and promotion, political material without the prior written consent of the organizers or any footage or object that endangers the safety of the event, participants and/or bystanders, having to accept being removed by the organization or authorities in the areas described above. 6. When in participation of this event, representing teams of participants or service providers and/or any media, I declare full knowledge and agreement with the rules/regulations, as well as respect the areas of the organization aimed for the teams. I understand that my participation is prohibited in the areas of support, strictly for teams, assembling in inappropriate places or that interfere with the course of the event, without the written permission of the organization, can cause me to be removed from the race and the venue at any time. 7. I am aware of the penalties and possible disqualification that I may suffer if fail to comply with Regulation or commit any serious misconduct. I waive my right of complaint on any aspects of the race. 8. I authorize the use of my image as well as family and friends, for the purpose of promoting the event for photos, videos and interviews in any media without generating burden. 9. I am aware that in the event of suspension of the race for public safety all possible costs related to transportation, preparation, accommodation, registration and other expenses will be covered only and exclusively by myself, exempting the Organizing Committee and the company responsible for compensation for any of these costs. 10. I understand and agree with all the items of these TERMS OF RESPONSIBILITY, thus exempting anyone, from any and all liability if such situations should happen to me in consequence of my participation in this RACE. 11. I Assume all expenses for accommodation, transfers, insurance, medical assistance and any other necessity for the participation in this event, before, during or after. Signature of Athlete
