1 Moth Euro Cup Act 3 is proudly presented by IMMAC Moth Cup, Wittensee, Germany NOTICE OF RACE ORGANIZATION The regatta will be organized by Wassersport---Club am Wittensee e.v. in cooperation with IMMAC Germany. RULES The regatta will be governed by the rules ISAF Racing rules RRS , the International Moth Class rules and the sailing instructions given by WSCW. General information: Personal flotation devices: all competitors shall wear floatation devices while racing, except for brief periods while changing or adjusting clothing. Wet suits and dry suits are not considered personal flotation devices. This changes Racing rule 40. A boat starting more than 5 minutes after the starting signal will be scored DNS without a hearing. This changes rules A4 and A5. A Grand Prix finishing system will be used. Boats failing to cross the finish line within 20 minutes after the first boat sails the course and finishes will be scored according to their position at the completion of their previous lap, otherwise they will be scored Did Not Finish without a hearing. This changes rules 35, A4 and A5. The sailing instructions may also change other racing rules. Any changes will appear in full in the sailing instructions.

2 ADVERTISING Boats will be required to display advertising chosen supplied by the organizing authority. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY The regatta is open to all boats complying with the Int. Moth Class Rules and having a valid measurement form. To be eligible, competitors shall comply with eligibility rules of the ISAF Regulation 19. In addition, each helmsman of a competing boat shall be national or ordinarily resident of the nation where the National Authority the crew intends to represent is established. Only competitors in good standing with the International Moth Class Association can participate and shall be member of a National Moth Class Association, affiliated to the National Authority or of the International Moth Class Association where there is no National Association in the concerned country. During registration every competitor must present a valid third party insurance for a minimum sum of 3 million Euro. Eligible competitors may enter by completing the online entry at: ENTRY FEE Early Entry fee is Euro 60 before 01 st July 2016 Late entry fee is Euro 80 Last possibility is 15 th July, 11:00 a.m. Fees to be paid at the registration in cash. No card payment accepted.

3 REGATTA FORMAT, NUMBER OF RACES The regatta consists of a single series of a maximum of 12 races at approximately 30 minutes. A maximum of 6 races can be sailed per day. SCHEDULE OF RACES Friday, July 15 th --- Registration from 10h00 to 12h00 Friday, July 15 th --- Skippers Meeting at 12h30 Friday, July 15 th --- The Warning Signal of the First Race will be given at 14h00 Saturday, July 16 th --- Races max. 6 Sunday, July 17 th --- Races, prize giving a.s.a.p. On the last day of the regatta no warning signal will be made after 14h00. MEASUREMENTS Each boat shall have a valid measurement certificate and measurements for all sails intended to be used. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS The sailing instructions will be available during registration. VENUE Lake Wittensee is near the famous sailing town Kiel and therefore near the Baltic sea. The spot is perfect for Moth sailing because we have no waves. The lake which is 4,5 km long und 2,2 km wide takes advantage of its proximity to the Baltic Sea and it s stable winds. THE COURSES The courses to be sailed will be as follows: Windward Leeward courses with appropriate amount of laps depending on the course length in order to achieve an approx. 30 min race time for the first finishing boat.

4 PENALTY SYSTEM Rule 44.1 is changed so that a Two---Turns Penalty is replaced by a One---Turn Penalty. Decisions of the jury will be final as provided in rule SCORING The regatta is valid if 3 races have been completed. --- When fewer than 5 races have been completed, a boat s series score will be the total of her race scores. --- When from 5 to 9 races have been completed, a boat s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score. --- When 10 or more races have been completed, a boat s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her two worst scores. The overall finishing position will count towards the overall Moth Euro Cup. SUPPORT BOATS Lake Wittensee is a protected natural habitat, so no external supports boat are allowed on Lake Wittensee! PRIZES Prizes will be awarded depending upon the entry numbers.

5 MEDIA RIGHTS, CAMERAS AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT By participating in the Moth Euro Cup Act 3, IMMAC Moth Cup, competitors automatically grant to the O.A. and their sponsors, the right in perpetuity to make, use and show, from time to time at their discretion, any motion pictures and live, taped or filmed television and other reproductions of the athlete during the period of competition without compensation. Boats may be required to carry cameras, sound equipment or positioning equipment as specified by the O.A. The top three (3) competitors, as well as individual race winners, may be required to attend a media press conference each day. The top three shall wear a colored lycras for the next day. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta. INSURANCE Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third---party liability insurance with a minimum cover of EURO 3 millions per event or the equivalent.

6 FURTHER INFORMATION There will be a barbeque on Friday and a joint dinner on Saturday included in the entry fee. Breakfast will be available for 3,50 on Saturday and Sunday. Please book breakfast on the online entry-form (Kommentar/annotations). If needed you can reach a good hotel within a 5 minute walk. (Hotel Wittensee Schützenhof) or use the usual booking portals.
