1 Vaurien Fleet Racing Easter Regatta San Vincenzo (Tuscany) - Italy Notice of Race The Vaurien Easter Regatta 2013 will be held in San Vincenzo (Tuscany Italy) MARCH 30 - APRIL It will be organized by the Circolo Nautico San Vincenzo, with the support of the AS Vaurien Italia and the Federazione Italiana Vela. All participants are welcome. The Vaurien Easter Regatta is organised under the auspices of: The Italian Sailing Federation (FIV); The International Vaurien Class Association. 1. RULES - The event will be governed by: - The Racing Rules of Sailing (ISAF); - The International Vaurien Class Rules. If there is a conflict between languages, the Italian text shall prevail. 2. SCHEDULE AND FORMAT 3.1. Schedule 6 fleet races are scheduled with 3 races max / day. Team races are scheduled each day, after the fleet races. 2 Informations about social events dates and venues will be posted on the Club and Italian class Website Last possible start on Monday 01: hrs. 4. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY 4.1. All competitors shall complete registration at the venue on 30 March before 12:00hrs, latest Final registration is subjected to the presentation of following documents: - a valid measurement certificate; - an authorization from the correspondent national authority to show individual advertisement; - a valid third part liability insurance, the sailing and racing licenses eventually required by the national authority. 4.3 Entry fee: 50,00 per Crew, by cash payments or bank tansfert. Fil. di San Vincenzo IBAN: IT27G Entry-deadline: 10 March 2013, a cumulative entry by the national class Organization is welcome A completed entry form requires a payment of the entry fee Entry fees are not refundable after the event starts The Sailing Instructions will be given at registration. 5. MEASUREMENT No boats will be checked for compliance with the Class Rules before the first start. Measurement checks may be carried out at any time during the event. Each boat shall enter no more than1 Hull, 1 Mast, 1 Boom, 1 Spinnaker-boom, 1 center-board, 1 rudder, 1 jib, 1 set of sails. 6. COURSES 6.1. Triangle (Start Finish). 7. SCORING SYSTEM 7.1. According to RRS ISAF, appendix A = Low point-scoring system will be applied. A maximum of six races are scheduled. Each boat's series score shall be the total of her race scores. If 4 or more races are completed her worst score will be discarded According to the Class Rules, one classification per category will be established, (Overall, Junores, Female, Master). 8. PRIZES 8.1. Prizes will be awarded for the first three places in each category. 9. JURY A National Jury will be appointed. 10. PENALTY SYSTEM Alternative penalties (360 turn) RRS rule 44 (720 turns). 11. ADVERTISING Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organising

3 authority according to ISAF Appendix BERTHING Boats shall be placed only inside the official area of the club, the described areas for boats and trailers must be accepted Without prior reservation, the club can't guarantee any place inside the official area. 13. 4 Liability Insurances are required for all competing boats. The policy must be shown at the completion of registration. The minimum of insurance is Euro for each boat. 16. RIGHTS TO USE NAME AND LIKENESS Competitors automatically grant to the Organising Authority, without payment, the right to make, use and show any text, motion pictures, video and still pictures, as well as live, taped or filmed television of, or relating to, the Regatta. 17. SUPPORT BOATS The entry form for support boats must be filled in and signed by the coach of the teams and be approved by the Organising Authority. Entry deadline is the 30 March The team coach boats shall conspicuously display their national flag, and have to comply with the coach boat regulations as defined in the Sailing Instructions.
