For works that require an estimate, these will be processed and sent out in due course with acceptance forms. 4 HAULING LIFT, LAUNCH & STORAGE Lifting your yacht or motorboat at Darthaven is a stress free experience, our hoist benefits from being able to lift and launch at all states of tide. Our holding pontoon allows easy access and time to prepare before being lifted ashore. The quayside team have years of experience in lifting all types of vessels and treat each boat with care and attention. Once on the quayside our expansive clean, concreted surfaces make for a pleasurable working environment with easy access to electric and water points. Winterising your boat could save you thousands in damages during the cold months. Sea water within your engine can freeze and crack major components very quickly. We will protect against this with an antifreeze fluid flush. Our qualified technicians will carry out the necessary so your outboard remains in fine working order. Winterise/de-winterise Stabilise your fuel system to prevent the fuel from going off. Spray fogging oil into the air intake. This will protect cylinders and internal components against moisture damage. Run up on fresh water to flush out salt deposits. Storage Are you fed up with having to remove your heavy outboard for both safety and storage reasons? Let us remove, store and refit your outboard before relaunching in the spring (up to 10hp). Next we use cutting compound to remove oxidation and then we machine polish to achieve a high gloss finish. High quality products are used throughout this process. Further to the bronze treatment, the silver standard includes the application of 3M Marine ultra wax. The paste wax vastly reduces the risk of UV damage and gelcoat fade. This product also seals the surface for long lasting weather protection of up to 18 months. We then hand buff to leave a high shine finish. In addition to the services included in our bronze and silver treatments, our gold treatment includes one coat of anti-fouling in a colour of your choice. Treatment prices are based on a measurement taken from the furthest forward and stern point. The treatment end results are governed by the quality of gelcoat and the general condition of the exterior of the boat. Treatment prices exclude tenders and toys that are stored onboard. Treatment prices exclude seat covers, canvas covers etc. Separate additional treatments are available for these items upon request. Prices exclude any gelcoat repairs. These are available if required by separate estimate. Please call our service office to arrange for an estimate. Antifouling 1.5 coats includes applying a 2nd coat from the water line 40cm down. These prices do not include lift, wash or re-launch. Our antifouling package prices assume the hull is in suitable condition to correctly apply the antifouling. Any further preparation needed will be estimated before any works commence. Outdrive antifouling includes the preparation and spraying of both the drive and transom shield. Saildrive antifouling includes the preparation and painting of the saildrive leg.
