E : 5.30 m. LP (140 % overlap): 7.00 m. TECHNICAL SCHEDULE Designed according to the European RCD requirements and CE Certification. These regulations ensure that the Océanis 46 incorporates the minimum safety requirements such as: Safety and protection of personnel on board. Durability of materials. Safety and stability. Safety when manoeuvring. Fire protection. Environmental protection and reduction of engine emissions. - HULL - The hull is of single-skinned GRP construction. Local areas of reinforcement (keel, rudder, chain plates, hull-deck joint) serve to strengthen the structure. A single-skinned structural inner moulding is bonded and laminated to the hull. Its structural role is important as it takes and absorbs the stresses at pressure points (chainplate tie rods, keel, rudder, etc.) guaranteeing reduced strain on the hull. The surface of the inner moulding makes cleaning easier and provides a better finish. The standard hull colour is white with silver livery. Steel Blue is available as an option. - DECK - The deck is sandwich construction (glass fibre and balsa) for optimum strength / weight ratio as well as excellent heat and sound insulation. All working areas and areas of movement around the deck are provided with a moulded diamond non-slip finish. -HULL / DECK JOINT - The hull/deck joint is screwed and bonded and is surrounded by a teak bulwark which is screwed. This mechanical join ensures a watertight assembly and also improves safety when moving around on deck. - KEEL - The keel is fitted to the boat by a system of screws and stainless steel backing plates and bonded. The keel is cast-iron.

Twin helm positions in aft cockpit: 2 leather-trimmed, 915 mm diameter, column mounted steering wheels. Twin bulkhead mounted steering gear. Metal cable transmission system. Deck access point for emergency steering and emergency tiller. 6 aluminium 400 mm mooring cleats with stainless steel protection plates on the deck line. Self-draining anchor well with clinch fitting and 1 hatch cover. Vertical-line 1000 W electric windlass with breaker, 12 V relay and 1 remote control. - PULPITS AND GUARDRAILS - Open stainless steel pulpit with step and navigation lights. 2 stainless steel pushpits, one port and one starboard. 1 lifebuoy holder. 1 outboard motor bracket. 1 ensign staff holder. Double row of sheathed guardrails supported by 6 single and 4 double stanchions. 2 side openings in guardrails. Bulwark with teak rail surrounding the deck. 2 stainless steel handrails on coachroof for cockpit access. GRP cockpit table with 2 folding leaves, oddments locker, bottle rack or pivoting support (option) to take chart reader (option), stainless steel handrail, 12 V socket and lamp with shade. 2 waterproof speakers. 2 winch handle pockets. 1 shore supply socket to starboard. GRP self-draining cockpit floor. 1 gas locker for 2 bottles located at the bottom of the cockpit near the access to the transom skirt. - BATHING PLATFORM AND TRANSOM - Pivoting access gate on track to bathing platform aft (Bénéteau patent). 1 very large liferaft locker with built-in double door in transom. The port roller is offset to enable the anchor to be left in position. Teak slatted cockpit benches: Twin steering consoles with stainless steel handrail capable of taking navigation instruments (instruments available as an option). 2 column-mounted steering compasses, one at each helm position. -1 engine control panel located near the helm seat to starboard. Mainsheet is led back to port winch. - GENOA SYSTEM - Comprises: 1 genoa furling gear with drum on deck. 1 control line led back to cockpit on coachroof to port. 2 genoa sheet tracks with piston adjustable cars on side decks. 2 genoa sheet return blocks with built-in jammers. - WINCHES - Winches are chrome finish Harken winches: 2 genoa sheet winches on coaming (48.2 STC). 2 coachroof winches (40.2 STC). 2 aluminium winch handles. 2 winch handle pockets in cockpit. - PORTS, HATCHES AND COVERS - Each space in the Océanis 46 has at least one source of fresh air and light and several have two or more, for maximum light and optimum ventilation. 24 sources of light: 1 large panoramic window + 2 side windows. 6 hull ports. 8 opening hatches. 6 opening ports. 1 companionway hatch. -ENGINE - Yanmar 75HP engine Drive shaft transmission.
