Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product. Name of Product: Lenovo ThinkCentre M70z and M90z desktop computers Units: About 50,500 Manufacturer/Importer: Lenovo, of Morrisville, N.C. Hazard: A defect in an internal component in the power supply can overheat and pose a fire hazard. Incidents/Injuries: The firm received reports of one fire incident and one smoke incident in the U.S. No injuries have been reported. Description: The recalled all-in-one desktop computers, or PCs, are flat-panel monitors with the PC integrated into the monitor housing itself. The power supplies are also inside the monitor or PC housing. The computer chassis has a matte black finish with the brand name "ThinkCentre" in the lower left hand corner of the monitor front. The recalled desktop model numbers are M90z and M70z along with the serial number and manufacturing date code can be found on a label on the underside of the unit. Models Date Codes 1001 to 1012 M70z and M90z 1101 to to to 112 Only certain of the M70z and M90z computers built in this time frame are affected. Consumers will need to check the serial number on their computer with Lenovo to determine if it is subject to this recall. Sold at: Online at Lenovo s websites, by telephone and direct sales through Lenovo authorized distributors nationwide from May 2010 through January 2012 for about $500 for the M70z model and $800 for the M90z model. Manufactured in: Mexico Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the computers, unplug the power supply and contact the firm to determine if your computer is included in the recall and to schedule an appointment for a free replacement of the power supply.

ECHO Recalls Backpack Blowers Due to Fire Hazard 02/27/ :14 AM EST On February 23, 2012, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commissioned announced a voluntary recall of ECHO Gas Powered Backpack Blowers sold at Home Depot and authorized ECHO dealers from August 2011 through January 2012 for about $270. Incidents/Injuries: None reported Description: This recall involves two models of the ECHO 2-cycle gas powered backpack blowers. The 25.4 cc blowers are orange and black in color and ECHO is printed on the pull starter housing and blower tube. Model numbers are on a label near the pull starter handle. Serial numbers are on a label near the gas filler cap. Models and corresponding serial numbers included in this recall: Model Serial Numbers PB-265L P through P PB-265L P through P Sold at: Home Depot and authorized ECHO dealers from August 2011 through January 2012 for about $270. Gas Cylinders Recalled by Worthington Cylinders Wisconsin Due to Fire Hazard 02/27/ :14 AM EST On February 23, 2012, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commissioned announced a voluntary recall of Worthingtonn Cylinders Wisconsin Map Pro Propylene and MAPP Gas Cylinders sold at various plumbing/hvac distributors, Home Depot, Lowes, and Ace Hardware Stores nationwide and in Canada from October 2004 through January 2012 for about $7 to 13 for cylinders and $45 to 75 for the torch kits. Name of Product: Map Pro, Propylene and MAPP Gas Cylinders Units: 29,026,000 units in the U.S.; 1,371,100 units in Canada Manufacturer: Worthington Cylinders Wisconsin, LLC, of Chilton, Wis. Hazard: The seal on the cylinders can leak after torches or other fuel consuming equipment are disconnected from them, posing a fire hazard. Incidents/Injuries: None reported. Description: The cylinders contain propylene gas and are used for soldering, brazing, cutting and welding. They contain 14.1 oz Map-Pro, 14.1 oz Propylene or 16 oz MAPP (Methyl Acetylene Propadiene Stabilized). The cylinders are approximately 3 in diameter and 11 tall and are either yellow or black in color. They were sold alone and in kits that include a torch and a cylinder. Name of Product: LED Night Light Units: About 227,000 Importer: American Tack & Hardware Co. Inc. (AmerTac), of Saddle River, N.J. Hazard: An electrical short circuit in the night light can cause it to overheat and smolder or melt, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers. Incidents/Injuries: AmerTac has received 25 reports of the night lights smoking, burning, melting and charring. No injuries have been reported. Description: Three AmerTac night lights are being recalled. Each has a model name and two model numbers. The model name and a secondary model number appear only on the packaging. The basic model number appears on the back of the night light. The night lights are rectangular, about 2-3/16 inches high, 3-1/2 inches wide and 1-1/4 inches deep. The front housings for each are either white- or nickel-colored plastic with four horizontal vents and a round light sensor above the top vent. The backs of the night lights are gray plastic with the AmerTac logo, the basic model number, "SY" identification code and "ETL" molded into them. Only models bearing "SY" on the back are being recalled.
