On the short side of the pool a curtain will be drawn to visually isolate the pool and the competing teams. An area with a closed roof and tables will be allocated to each participating team near the pool where teams can carry out their work. Wireless network and 220V AC power supply will also be provided. In addition, a station will be located close to the visual isolation curtain on the short side of the pool from where teams can control the underwater robot during their turn. A 12V, 30A DC power supply will be provided for the control station. Finally, a small plastic pool with no electrical connections will also be provided in the competition area for the teams to check their robots water sealing and reaction with water. 4) Robot Specifications and Limitations - Diameter and height of underwater robots cannot be in excess of 92 cm. - The energy cable, which is used for transferring data and controlling the robot cannot be longer than 13 m. - During the competition, 12V, 30A DC energy of the underwater robot will be supplied by the Competition Committee. No additional energy supplies can be used. The energy can be converted within the robot but it cannot be operated at a higher energy level. - It is permitted to mount cameras on the robot. - The underwater robots must be waterproof up to a depth of 2 meters. - Cable isolation against tears and electric leakages will be performed by the teams.

2 - Prior to competition, all safety inspections of underwater robots will be performed by the competition Committee. Teams participation in the competition will be approved depending on the inspection results. 5) Competition details a) Rules All underwater vehicles will be subjected to inspection for compliance with specified safety rules and regulations. Vehicles, which do not comply with the safety regulations, will not be permitted in the pool. Teams will be provided with 12V 30A energy for their underwater vehicles outside the pool. Teams can supply energy to their vehicles only after fulfilling necessary safety precautions. Teams will be competing in two different groups during their allocated time for the competition. Team members at the control desk will not be permitted to see the pool or the underwater robot during competition. Team members who release the underwater robot into pool will not be permitted to return to the control desk. None of the groups may receive outside information and direction with regard to the position of the robot once in the pool. Team members at the control desk will be provided with soundproofing headphones, which they will have to put on during competition. Any attempt to get outside information and direction will result in disqualification of that team. Judges who will be in charge of transferring the underwater information will accompany team groups. Competing teams will pass the underwater measurements and readings to the desk judges using control stations. Desk judges will keep a record of the team points on the preprepared competition score-cards. The competition starts as soon as the robot is released into the water. The robot must go into action within 3 minutes following its release. The competition will end if an outside intervention to the robot or its cable is detected in a manner that would change its course or location, or after 15 minutes following the start of the competition. If the vehicle needs adjustments during the competition, it can be taken out of the pool for the necessary adjustments to be done and released again only after the approval of the judge. The total competition time of 15 minutes, however, will remain running even if the vehicle is outside the water. At the end of the competition, the points scored by the teams in every stage will be evaluated using the pre-prepared score cards. During the competition, the underwater robot must; 1. Pass through 3 spherical obstacles in no specific order measuring 100 cm in diameter with a 10 cm opening on the top positioned in various places in the pool. Teams will receive points for successful passage through obstacles and the intensity of contact with the obstacle during passage. 2. Take heat and depth measurements (at a minimum accuracy of 2 decimal points after the comma) at pre-determined locations in the pool and transfer these measurements to the competition committee. Teams scores will be affected by the accuracy of their measurements. 3. Locate and read texts in various sizes written on plates placed in different parts of the pool by the T3 Foundation Competition Committee and report these readings to the desk judge. Teams will be scored depending on the total number of letters read accurately.

3 During competition, teams may carry out tasks in their chosen order. will be awarded according to the definition in the scoring section and only for tasks completed successfully. b) Scoring and Evaluation Scoring consists of two stages, namely first stage and second stage, whose details are given below.
