Obtain medical attention if exposure has been excessive. If unconscious, place in Recovery Position and keep under observation. Skin: Wash thoroughly with soap and water. Obtain medical attention if irritation persists. Eyes: Wash immediately with plenty of clean water. Obtain medical attention if irritation persists. 5 FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES Any conventional extinguishing medium can be used, taking into account the location of the fire. Water spray should be used to keep cans cool in the event of a fire in the vicinity.

Keep non-essential people away from the release area. Wash area with water. Disperse vapour with adequate ventilation. 7 HANDLING AND STORAGE Do not use in the presence of naked flames or other sources of ignition. Do not smoke in the area where the spray is in use. Do not spray on to hot surfaces. Use aerosol cans in well ventilated areas. Solvent must be allowed to evaporate to allow colour to develop; do not spray excessively. Do not inhale vapour. If high usage is anticipated, consider using a spray booth with forced extraction. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not spray near food. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not pierce or burn the can, even after it has been fully discharged. Store away from sources of heat, in a well ventilated area, where there is no risk of physical damage to the cans. 8 EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION In the UK, the Health and Safety Executive has approved an Occupational Exposure Standard (OES) of 750 ppm for an 8-hour working day and 1500 ppm for short term (15 minute) exposures. If the procedures in 7 above are followed, personal protection should not be required. If provision of a facemask is considered necessary to remove nuisance odours at working levels below the quoted OES, type 9913 from 3M (UK) plc. is suitable, but does not give protection to excessive concentrations.
