1 MODEL 131/132 GAS CHROMATOGRAPH Envent Engineering Ltd. Model 131/132 Gas Chromatographs are rugged, versatile and reliable online natural gas analyzers. They are robustly designed by engineers and experienced field technicians to operate reliably in remote areas with dirty samples, unreliable power, no instrument air and limited maintenance. The Model 131/132 Gas Chromatographs provide accurate and reliable analysis of gas composition and other vital parameters to ensure quality of the product. Custody transfer energy measurement applications are also supported with an extensive library of physical property calculations in accordance with all applicable AGA and ISO natural gas standards. Application Flexibility With multiple calibration tables available for multi-stream applications application flexibility is assured. The GC oven can operate over a wide temperature range with equally wide carrier pressure settings. This allows for applications to be developed based on stream specific measurements using the same hardware platform. In multi-stream applications diverse stream compositions can be measured in the same GC. For example: C3/C4 Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) combined with natural gas sour plant inlets and sales/residue gas OR high (>1200) low (<1020) BTU applications Typical Applications C6+ Analysis for Natural Gas processing plant inlets and outlets. Electronics and Software Platform The ARM 7 based CPU board and Windows TM based software work together to provide a superior analyzer platform for the H2S/Total Sulfur analyzers and the GC.

2 Electronics and Software Platform The ARM 7 based CPU board and Windows TM based software work together to provide a superior analyzer platform for the H2S/Total Sulfur analyzers and the GC. This common electronics platform is equipped with low noise/high resolution 28 bit A/Ds to improve raw signal. With the same electronics platform operating in over 900 installations worldwide it's field proven in some of the harshest production environments anywhere. The primary measurement interface is via modbus protocol to a flow computer or PLC. The primary diagnostic/operational interface is via serial/ethernet interface to a laptop running ICE TM software onsite or remote via cell modem to an IP address assigned to the GC. Access for wiring to all power and signal I/O is from the left side of the electronics enclosure For GC applications several advanced functions are embedded into the GC operating system to function as companion diagnostics when troubleshooting with the windowstm based software (ICE). These advanced functions improve diagnostics capability to increase reliability AND improve measurement performance. The improved sensitivity allows for measurement of trace impurities such as H2S (below 50 ppm) in standard C6+ Natural Gas BTU applications. ICE provides all user configuration, diagnostic, and reporting functions and acts as the primary user interface to the GC. The result is a very rugged, easy-to-use, GC with the accuracy/repeatability required for custody transfer energy measurement applications. Total Natural Gas Quality Measurement There are typically three primary analytical measurements required in the field to meet Natural Gas contract specifications. They are Energy Content (BTU), water content (#/MMSCF) and H2S content (ppm). By designing the hardware and software platform with common packaging to support installations in hazardous areas all three primary gas quality measurements can be combined into one system with a single software interface. The three gas quality analyzers can operate together with common sample systems, identical modbus protocol and a common software interface. Training requirements are reduced and a single vendor can take full responsibility for support of the total gas measurement system. Envent's Gas Chromatograph packaging uses the same design as the H2S analyzers. The result is a family of Natural Gas analyzers all designed for mounting in either Division I or II rated hazardous locations and capable of operating on AC or DC power. The Model 131 GC is approved for Class I Div I Gr B,C&D areas while the 132 GC is approved for Class I Div II Gr B,C&D areas. In both models the GC oven and electronics enclosures are completely separated to eliminate the potential for sample to come in contact with electrical components. In sour gas or liquids applications this is very important.

3 INTEGRATED CONFIGURATION ENVIRONMENT (ICE) Integrated Configuration Environment (ICE) ICE (Windows TM based user interface) is Envent's software developed specifically for set up, configuration and troubleshooting analyzers. Advanced diagnostics were developed within ICE to match the high end capability of the GC electronic platform for trace component analysis or multi-component analysis. Several advanced functions such as Chromatogram overlay, zoom, and best-fit are particularly useful for GC operations. A single Chromatogram file may contain hundreds of sequential chromatograms for use by technicians in either Live mode or Simulated Analysis mode. Simulated Analysis provides the advanced diagnostic tools to senior level technicians and supervisors to optimize GC operations off-site with simple attachments or direct communications to the GC. Measurement accuracy can be maintained in custody transfer applications as a result because designated specialists can use Simulated Analysis to manipulate actual Raw Data from the field and apply corrective action until optimal results are achieved offline. This empowers the specialist with innovative tools to optimize GC operations for numerous installations without actually going to the field. Data Storage and Reports Eight fully configurable archives are available with up to 4 MB data storage. Users can customize reports from Archives or use the standard Report format for analysis results, raw data, configuration and calibrations.

4 SAMPLE CONDITIONING SYSTEMS The Model 131/132 GC uses minimal carrier consumption for both columns and valve actuation. A single bottle of carrier gas can provide over 12 months of operation on 1 standard size 247 ft 3 Helium bottle. Field service is simplified with industry standard components and special tools are not required. Sample system components are available locally or off the shelf from Envent. If liquid carryover should pass through the sample system in dirty gas production applications the entire GC Module (columns,valves with configuration and calibration data) can be replaced with a standby GC module in less than an hour or rebuilt in the field. No need to send it back to the factory as the user has the choice of rebuilding it themselves. Standard sample system components consists of 316SS for all wetted parts with Swagelock TM fittings used throughout (other fittings are available upon request). Block valves are provided on sample inlets with regulating valves on bypass and liquid sweeps from coalescing or membrane filters. Second stage pressure regulation is included on each process stream as a standard feature for convenience and to minimize JT effect when reducing pressures at multiple locations. This improves accuracy in high BTU applications and reduces set up time in multi-stream applications. Optimal performance depends on pressure balancing between individual streams and this process is simplified when pressure regulation is provided on each stream. Downstream pressure indication is provided along with a common sample rotameter to easily validate sample flow to the GC oven. Stream switching solenoids are available standard in multi-stream applications with optional pneumatic double block and bleed stream selectors as an alternate when stream compositions are diverse or the application requires a heated sample system oven. The net benefit to users is out-of-box start up, simplified operations and long term reliability in remote harsh environments.. The outdoor mounting option for high BTU applications has all sample conditioning AND CALIBRATION GAS mounted together in a heated lower sample system oven with temperature control to 112F (40C). This design reduces installation costs in moderate climates as the need for a dedicated analyzer buildings is eliminated. Measurement integrity is assured in C9+ high BTU custody transfer installations by ensuring that calibration gas integrity is maintained to prevent C6+ drop-out. Alternate solutions would require a building or similar heated enclosures. The same heated sample system oven is used for Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) applications with external liquid calibration standards for C3/C4 analysis.
