32 Into SCUBA DIVING The Evason Ana Mandara Resort is delighted to announce its onsite diving operation, the Dive Shop. The team runs a PADI authorized resort Dive Centre in a partnership which has seen the fruition of the best collaboration of instructing talent available in Nha Trang. The Dive Shop team, carefully handpicked, has combined their wide variety of experience to create a first class operation suited to the needs of every diver, from the absolute beginner to the most advanced and experienced, including children. The team is committed to providing only the highest quality of dive instruction. The multi-national hosts ensure everyone has the opportunity to enjoy this fascinating and addictive sport. Diving Conditions Protected by the islands in the open sea, diving within the bay area is calm and relaxing, with visibility of between meters from March to November. The Dive Shop is open year-round; however, the best conditions are from mid March until the end of November. The rainy season sets in for November and December and because of its unpredictability, diving is not always possible. Most dives are usually between meters; Hon Mun, Hon Rom, Hon Cau, Hon Tre and Hon Vung offer the opportunity

33 to explore 20 different and interesting dive sites. Nha Trang Bay is one of the major coral centres of the world with 398 out of 800 species of hard and soft corals to be found here. The PADI Scuba Diver rating allows you to become certified quickly and easily by minimizing time constraints. With the PADI Scuba Diver certification you can dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional to a maximum depth of 12 meters. PADI Open Water Diver As a certified PADI Open Water Diver, the most widely sought after, recognized and respected rating in the world; you have the freedom to dive with a buddy independent of a professional down to a depth of 18 metres. PADI Advanced Open Water Diver The Adventures in Diving program offers both the Adventure Diver and the Advanced Open Water Diver certifications.
