4 Information Introduction Please read this manual before using the equipment. Use, maintenance, or any other operation of the equipment must be done by staff trained for the use of this equipment and aware of any safety rules. While using the 2way gated wye (use, maintenance, installation,...) it is important to wear personal protective equipment. Dismantling and warranty This equipment has a warranty of year for any fabrication default, except where covered by special written agreement. The exploded view and bill of materials are not a dismantling manual. Any dismantling or maintenance operation of the device must be done with water supply turned off. Dismantling and/or modification of the equipment outside POK SAS factory is allowed only in compliance with procedures described in this manual, and therefore does not affect the warranty. If the equipment is repaired, the spare parts must be supplied by POK SAS. If not, technical characteristics listed in this document won t be valid, the warranty will void and POK SAS responsibility will not apply. If maintenance operation damage parts, the warranty may not apply if the procedure has not been carried out properly in accordance with this manual. Although this is not explicitly stated in instructions, use and wear of protective equipment are obligatory during maintenance operation. POK SAS cannot be responsible of any damage or accident which may occur during the dismantling. If this obligation is not met, please refer to the tools instructions guides for more details. Only POK SAS can ensure proper and safe functioning of the equipment. Therefore POK SAS will not be liable for any damage or accident caused by dismantling of the equipment outside its workshop. Do not modify the equipment, it may not be working or be dangerous for use. Any modification not approved by POK will void the warranty. 4

5 Information Usage Please respect the technical limits of the equipment. This device is guaranted for the working pressure PN 6. It is important to be informed of the any safety regulations relating to your environment before using the equipment. The apparatus can not be used if any part is missing or damaged. Before placing the 2way gated wye in service, check that the device is not clogged and that the handle turn softly. In case of fire that occurs near or caused by electrical installations, it is imperative to: ) Cut of power supply as soon as possible 2) Maintain a safety distance as far as possible. It is recommended to clean the device with clear water, both externally and internally (flow water threw it) after each use. In case of repeated use of seawater or brackish water, it is recommended to dismount the 2way gated wye once a year, and to clean all the pieces, and then remount the device using the spare parts kit (available on request). This operation can be performed by POK at a price available on request. POK SAS can not be held responsible for any accidents involving the use of the equipment if safety and usage instructions are not followed. 5

9 Operating Manual Connection Connect each hose and check each coupling is properly locked. Opening Open softly valve of the hose you need to supply. If valves are suddendly opened or closed, the pressure will increase. It may damage the hose or injure somebody. 9

10 Maintenance Procedures for testing and maintenance Before each use of the 2way gated wyes check that : ) No part is damaged, broken or missing. 2) That the inlet swivels freely 3) The opening and closing of each valve Inlet coupling leaks Unscrew the inlet coupling (Mark 7). 2 Clean the threaded parts of the coupling (Mark 7) and the body (Mark ). 3 Install a new flat gasket (Mark 8). Apply grease on the gasket before reassembling. 4 Glue (Loctite 243) and screw the coupling on the body. 5 Ensure that the inlet coupling turns freely. REP QTE DESIGNATION REF Body Swivel coupling DN 65 with lock Flat gasket for thread 2 /2 BSP Flange leaks Unscrew the nuts (Mark 7) and remove the flange (Mark 5) and the screws (Mark 6). 2 Clean the gasket seat on the body (Mark ) and the flange (Mark 5). 3 Install a new O ring N 37 (Mark 4). 11 Maintenance Replace axis gaskets Unscrew upper and lower axis (Mark ). 2 Remove the handle (Mark 0). 3 Remove O ring N 7 (Mark 5). Take care not to scratch groves. 4 Install a new O ring N 7 (Mark 4). Apply grease on the gasket before reassembling. 5 Replace all parts, glue and screw axis screws (Loctite 243). REP QTE DESIGNATION REF 0 Long shutoff handle Screw for valve axis O ring N 7 Replace ball valve gaskets Follow previous procedures to unscrew flange and axis screws. 2 Remove the ball valve gasket (Mark 3) and the ball valve (Mark 2). 3 Remove the valve axis (Mark 2 and 3) and O ring N 2 (Mark 6). Take care not to scratch groves. 4 Install a new O ring N 2 (Mark 6). Apply grease on the gasket before reassembling. 5 Replace all parts, glue and screw axis screws (Loctite 243). 12 Maintenance Spare Parts According to the conditions of use and storage, some parts could deteriorate quicker than others. Contact our commercial service to obtain more information about return conditions or to receive spare parts. Use the exploded view diagrams and bill of materials to identify the parts needed. Storage conditions Store the equipment in a clean environment, mud, sand or other element could impede operation of the equipment, and in rare cases damage it. Cleaning It is recommended to clean the 2way gated wye with clear water, both internally and externally (pass water under pressure) after each use. In case of repeated use of seawater or brackish water, it is recommended to dismount the 2way gated wye once a year, and to clean all the pieces, and then remount the device using the spare parts kit (available on request). This operation can be performed by POK at a price available on request. 2
