1 Chemical and Respiratory Protective Suits Purpose-designed, integrated PPE solutions protecting you in the harshest environments The 3M JS-Series Chemical and Respiratory Protective Suits (CRPS) with temperature and altitude correction technology allow you to use these systems in almost all geographies. Type 4 suits are designed provide the workers with a high level of protection against hazardous dusts/particulates and sprays of certain liquid chemicals, for example in decontamination showers and infection control. Type 3 suits are designed to provide workers in both industrial and Emergency Response environments with a high level of personal protection against a broad range of industrial chemicals and other agents found in Civil Emergency situations. Emergency Response personnel have unique needs from the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) they wear which are different from industrial workers: + they are in emergency rather than routine situations + there may be a wide range of hazards against which they need protection + they do not use the PPE everyday. Therefore, they often need PPE specifi cally designed to meet these needs. Both of these systems combine highly comfortable protective suits with respiratory protection from the industry proven 3M TM Jupiter TM JP-ER-03 Powered Air Purifying Turbo. 132

2 3M JS-Series CRPS Features There is no compromise on fi t or comfort thanks to the purposedesigned suit and turbo combination system. The loose-fi tting hood design provides full coverage and protection without the need for a tight-fi tting facepiece meaning that the suit can be used by people with facial hair, face-fi t testing is not required, training needs are reduced and there is a reduced sense of claustrophobia. The clear, wide viewing visor provides an excellent fi eld of view and better focus on the task in hand. 3M s unique Head-Up-Display gives the user constant feedback from the system in terms of visual and audible warnings and alarms. 3M Jupiter Features Software programmed to alert you every hour the turbo has been running with an audible beep allows you to get on with the job and not worry about air fl ow calibration. There are a full range of Jupiter fi lters available to suit the majority of applications and hazards. The Jupiter turbo offers an ideal air supply with the minimum air fl ow rate of 150 liters per minute. 133

These systems combine highly comfortable Type 4/5 suits with respiratory protection from the industry proven 3M Jupiter JP-ER-03 Powered Air Purifying Turbo.
