The Concept (Case Study) Turnkey Industrial Gas Projects and Equipment An igas client required a mobile Cylinder Filling System for use across various remote geographies, to support their oil and gas customers. The system needed to fill high pressure cylinders using cryogenic liquid as a source and pumping, or compression in the case of helium, through ambient vaporisation. Such filling systems were not available as some of the technical challenges had been considered to be insurmountable, and as such pre-filled cylinders are transported huge distances (at great cost) from traditional permanent/static cylinder filling plants. The Development The Reality The system is essentially a cylinder filling plant, packaged in transportable 20ft ISO containers. The client can now take a complete filling facility to a remote site, rather than filling cylinders at the organisations nearest gas plant and having to transport them over great distances to clients sites. The system can be ready to use within 1 day of delivery to site and also be dismantled and prepared for onward transport in a similar time frame. We undertake many of these types of projects every year.
