General longboard introduction Invented during the 1950 s, longboards were mainly built for racing downhill or general transportation.

Longboarding has existed for almost half a century now and has developed a lot. Especially the last years longboarding has EXPLODED IN POPULARITY!

Last year, we started to introduce three different longboards, just to check the potential among our customers.

This was a clear signal and without any doubt we started to design several longboards resulting in an EXTENSIVE COLLECTION, including different models.

1 General longboard introduction Invented during the 1950 s, longboards were mainly built for racing downhill or general transportation. Longboarding is often described as surfing on concrete because the big wheels and thin board allow quick turns and carves, just like surfing waves. Longboarding has existed for almost half a century now and has developed a lot. Especially the last years longboarding has EXPLODED IN POPULARITY! Schreuders Sport Longboards Also Schreuders Sport International noticed the huge popularity of longboarding. Last year, we started to introduce three different longboards, just to check the potential among our customers. Our customers were extremely enthusiastic, we did not get the chance to stock our (container)volumes we imported, because it was already sold before arrival at our warehouses. This was a clear signal and without any doubt we started to design several longboards resulting in an EXTENSIVE COLLECTION, including different models. The comparison with skateboarding is easily made and for a lot of people a longboard is nothing more then a big skateboard, but as soon you stand on one, you will notice that it is different in every aspect. It is more stable, spacier and it allows you to turn more easy. Because of all the different disciplines longboarding knows, such as cruising, downhill and freestyle, there also exist a lot of different boards. Kicktail Drop through Pintail Longboard types Currently we offer three different types; pintail, kicktail and drop-through longboards. PINTAIL LONGBOARDS permit looser trucks and larger wheels which are better suited for cruising, whereas DROP-THROUGHS allow the rider to be closer to the ground, hence a lower center of gravity which increases stability and allows these boards to support more high speed downhill riding disciplines. If you prefer to add an extra dimension to longboards, such as doing tricks, we suggest you the KICKTAIL LONGBOARD. Our collection is based on these three models, but we use different types of wood, deck sizes, wheels and trucks to vary in longboards. CHECK OUT OUR COLLECTION!
