2 LANE BRYANT STANDARDIZED HANGER PROGRAM Intimate Apparel merchandise must be shipped on hangers, packed in the polybag. The entire hanger must be packed inside the polybag. No protruding hooks are permitted. Swimwear vendors are required to use the bottom hanger for both one and two piece styles. Hosiery, sock, flat shoe and belt vendors will receive instruction from the department at the time orders are placed. Apparel merchandise is not shipped on hangers unless otherwise instructed by Lane Bryant. The use of straight pins, metal or plastic clips to secure garments is prohibited and will result in a chargeback. Authorization to use non-standard hangers must be approved by the Lane Bryant Operations team prior to shipping merchandise. Each division requires different styles and colors for its hanging program. Please see the next page for Lane Bryant s suppliers addresses and telephone numbers. HANGER AND FOLD MANUAL 2

5 LANE BRYANT JACKETS 1. Lay the jacket flat with the front on the table. 2. Fold the left arm to the right side then fold back down towards the hem. 3. Repeat for the right side. 4. Fold the bottom of the jacket upwards to the top. 5. Turn the jacket over. HANGER AND FOLD MANUAL 5

6 LANE BRYANT DRESSES 1. Lay the dress flat with the front on the table. Fold the sleeves along seams towards the center. 2. Fold the dress in half, with the back on the inside. 3. Fold the bottom up to just below the collar. 4. Turn the dress over. The width and length of the finished product will vary depending on the size of the garment. HANGER AND FOLD MANUAL 6

7 LANE BRYANT & CACIQUE SHORT SLEEVE TOPS 1. Lay the garment flat with the front on the table. This fold will require a board that is approximately 9.5 wide and 15 tall. 2. Neatly fold back the sleeves. Center the board on the top. 3. Fold the each side over the board towards the center. 4. Fold the bottom of the garment to the top, over the board. Long garments may need to be folded twice; once over itself and secondly over the board. 5. Slide the board out and turn the garment over. HANGER AND FOLD MANUAL 7

8 LANE BRYANT & CACIQUE LONG SLEEVE TOPS 1. Lay the garment flat with the front on the table. This fold will require a board that is approximately 9.5 wide and 15 tall. 2. Neatly fold back the sleeves. Center the board on the top. 3. Fold the each side over the board towards the center. 4. Fold the bottom of the garment to the top, over the board. 9 LANE BRYANT & CACIQUE TANKS & CAMIS 1. Lay the garment flat with the front on the table. 2. Fold the garment in half lengthwise. 3. Fold garment in half so that the shoulder seam meets the bottom of the garment. The width of the finished product will vary depending on the size of the garment. HANGER AND FOLD MANUAL 9

10 LANE BRYANT CASUAL, ACTIVE & INTIMATE APPAREL PANTS 1. Lay the pant flat with the front on the table. 2. Fold pant lengthwise so that the back is on the inside. Smooth out edge seams so that the pant is neat and flat. 3. Fold the crotch area down, creating a straight side from the top to the bottom of the pant. 4. Fold the pant legs up 1/3 towards the top of the pant. Fold again up to the waistband. 5. Turn the pant over. HANGER AND FOLD MANUAL 10

11 LANE BRYANT DENIM 1. Lay the denim flat with the back on the table. 2. Fold denim in half; align legs at the side seam. Lay flat with inseams on the left. 3. Fold the pant legs up in half to the waist. 4. Fold in pant legs up in half to the waist again. 5. Turn the pant over. The width of the finished product will vary depending on the size of the garment. HANGER AND FOLD MANUAL 11

12 LANE BRYANT PANTS 1. Tuck the rise seams to be even with low hip. 2. Fold the pant lengthwise. Make sure the left side seam faces up, centered in the pant with all seams aligned. 3. Fold the pant legs in half. SHORTS 1. Lay the shorts flat with the back on the table. 2. Fold shorts lengthwise. Smooth edge seams so the shorts are neat and flat. HANGER AND FOLD MANUAL 12

13 LANE BRYANT SKIRTS 1. Lay the skirt flat with the front on the table. 2. Fold the left side seam in towards the center of the back. Repeat with the right side. The width should be about Fold the bottom of the skirt about 1/3 of the way up to the waistband. 4. Fold again up to the top of the waist. 5. Turn the skirt over. The width should be about 12 wide. 14 LANE BRYANT SKIRTS 1. Lay the skirt flat with the front on the table. 2. Fold the skirt in half lengthwise, with the back on the inside. 3. Fold the bottom of the skirt up to the waist. 4. Turn the skirt over. LANE BRYANT OUTERWEAR The only requirements are: folds must be minimal to reduce creasing and not exceed the bundle requirements in the Routing Guide. HANGER AND FOLD MANUAL 14

15 CACIQUE PANTY 1. Lay the panty flat on the table with the front facing down. Repeat, layering all panties. Begin with the smallest down on the table first. End with the largest panty on top of the stack, facing down. 2. Turn stack over. If panties exceed bundle size, then fold the entire stack in half lengthwise, so that the backs are on the inside of the fold. HANGER AND FOLD MANUAL 15

16 CACIQUE BABYDOLL SETS Babydoll set with panty attachment. 1. Attachment should be through the care labels with 2 swift-tack. 2. Panty should hang to the inside of the garment. HANGER AND FOLD MANUAL 16

17 CACIQUE GOWN, SLEEPSHIRT, CHEMISE & BABYDOLL 1. Lay the garment flat with the front on the table. This fold will require a board that is approximately 9.5 wide and 15 tall. Place folding board on the top over the collar. 2. Fold the left arm and side seams over the board toward the center of the back. For long sleeve garments, fold the sleeve back towards the shoulder once it extends past the far side of the board. 3. Repeat for the right side arm and side seams. 4. (38 and longer) Fold the bottom approximately 1/3 of the way up towards the top of the garment. 4.(Less than 38 ) Fold the bottom approximately half way towards the top. 5. Fold the bottom to the top. Remove the folding board. 5. Turn the garment over. Thin straps can be tucked under the garment. HANGER AND FOLD MANUAL 17

18 CACIQUE ROBE 1. Lay the robe flat with the front on the table. Bring the ties to the back and lay them flat. Keep ties flat and tucked in the robe as you fold. 2. Fold the left arm straight across the back of the robe to the right shoulder. If it is too long, fold it back towards the left shoulder. Repeat with the right arm. 3. Fold the left side of the robe in towards the center, creating a neat, clean edge from the collar to the hem. Repear with the right side. Keep the width of the finished product about 12 wide. 4. Fold the bottom of the robe to the top. 5. Turn the robe over. The length of the finished product will vary depending on the size of the garment. HANGER AND FOLD MANUAL 18

20 CACIQUE HANGING MANUAL PANTY HANG 1. Center the hanger on the panty and slide panty through the side clips of the hanger from the back. 1. Fold in the sides of the material so the front and back of the panty are the same width. Slide the front panel into the side clip of the hanger so that it wraps around the clip.
