2 VALLNORD GO! GO! MOUNTAIN PARK The Pal resort in La Massana is the ideal destination for family adventure activities like archery, zipline, pony rides and downhill karting, amongst others. Not only that, but children up to eleven years can discover Pekepark, a fun area equipped with slides, ball pools and trampolines. Visitors can also enjoy driving motor vehicles (buggies or four-wheel drives) around the Pal resort or even to the village of Tor in Pallars Sobirà county to learn about the dark history of that mountainous area. Again, those who prefer to discover nature in greater peace and quiet need only take one of the signposted footpaths that start out at Pal, some reaching as far as the village of La Massana. 4 CIRCUITS FOR WALKERS HIKING This summer, the Pal resort offers several signposted hiking trails, ideal for the safe practice of this activity. Snow permitting, these paths are opened up to the general public in spring each year. The four routes available at present are clearly marked out, and all necessary information is provided: distance, vertical drop, rest areas, stretches where greater care is required, etc. All these routes pass through the terrain of the Pal resort, and some reach as far as the village of La Massana. As a precautionary measure, hikers are advised to download the Alpify app, which enables users to activate security protocols in case of emergency or becoming lost. 5 PRICES CHILDREN S ACTIVITIES ACTIVITY AGE PRICE PEKEPARK: The park is located at the Pal base, in La Caubella. Facilities include inflatable s in the form of slides, bridges, climbing walls, ball pool and trampolines to practice jumping and somersaulting. ELECTRIC KARTS: Special vehicles, easy to drive, reduced size, driven by a small electric motor. On a restricted track, kids drive for five minutes, watched over by monitors. LAND TRAIN : A train takes young passengers on a five-minute journey around the oval-shaped circuit. The activity is controlled and managed by a trained monitor. Single and double seats are available. PONIES*: In a unique setting, supervised by a monitor, children from 2 to 11 years ride these small animals and learn balance whilst discovering the main differences between ponies and horses. ZIPLINE: In this activity, users are strapped into harnesses as they slide down a 160-metre cable at a maximum height of 6 metres. DOWNHILL KARTING: This activity involves driving a kart down the ski slopes at Vallnord Pal. Karts are engine-less vehicles equipped with special wheels for mountain descents that descend by inertia. MUSHING*: *: Routes on sleighs pulled by ten dogs and driven by a musher. This activity is suitable for all ages, although children from 2 to 4 years must be accompanied by an adult. PUSH BIKE: These are bikes without pedals for children to enjoy on a new closed circuit, the modular Pump Track. Ideal for enabling children to start out in the world of cycling and develop their balance and motor skills. 6 PRICES ADULTS ACTIVITIES ACTIVITY JUMP: Similar to trampoline, in jump, children are attached to elastic bungee cords that enable them to leap up and down, practicing jumps and somersaults in complete safety. For a short time, our young visitors become great trapeze artists! ZIPLINE: Zipline descents are another of the most popular activities in the sector. Secured by harnesses, children and adults slide down a cable, 160 metres long, at a maximum height above the ground of 6 metres. Access to this attraction is by the La Caubella chairlift. DOWNHILL KARTING: In this activity, participants drive karts down the ski slopes at Vallnord Pal. These are engineless vehicles fitted with special wheels to enable them to descend by their own inertia. Under maximum safety conditions, the drivers can reach quite high speeds in a downhill race against the clock to see who gets the best time. These sleighs, pulled by ten dogs and driven by the musher, take passengers around a circuit measuring a kilometre and a half.
