2 MONTANA Service steps 1 BASE REPAIR We recommend the automatic base resoler P-TEX SPEEDMASTER or MRS. Both machines create a positive resoling of base defects as well as a high capacity per hour for skis and snowboards. For manual repairs, we recommend the use of the MONTY base extruder. 2 STONE grinding Using the MONTANA stone grinding system, many different structures can be produced: from simple linear structures up to complex vario structures. MONTANA-stone grinding means absolutely fiber free grinding of the ski base. 3 SIDE EDgE TuNINg The unique MONTANA Side Edge System grinds the side edge in an exact angle. 6 THE MONTANA QUALITY SEAL CRYSTAL GLIDE FINISH As a sign for outstanding quality in ski and board service we have the MONTANA CRYSTAL GLIDE FINISH. Minimal requirement for this quality sign is the operation of a MONTANA stone grinding installation and a MONTANA tuning installation. 6

7 The MONTANA 3 STEP promise: base edge tuning A ski or board is only perfectly prepared when the service steps in all operation processes from base via the edges up to the beveling are made in good quality and high precision. Step 1: A fiber free, absolutely plane surface with a structured base Step 2: Side edges are being grinded over the entire length in an exactly defined angle (87, 88 or 89 ) Step 3: Absolutely polished base edges, tuned by about First base and edges are brought to one flat surface to prepare the base for an optimal edge angle. The shiningly polished edge improves the gliding properties. By the application of the 3 steps with MONTANA technology, MONTANA promises an optimally prepared sport device with impressing driving properties. It is crucial that the 3 steps are followed in harmony. 7

8 MONTANA STRuctures The legendary stone grinding system allows precisely cut structures. The most commonly used structures are used as standard in the software. The MONTANA Vario Structure allows different structure pictures over the width of the ski or board. MONTANA Radial Tuning With this special procedure the skis are stronger tuned in the shovel and in the end, that means the base edges are more hanging then in the centre. The result is a perfectly tuned base edge that goes smoothly along with the radius of the ski on the snow. Because of radial tuning skis and snowboards turn easier, are better to handle and have an improved grip under the bindings.
