1 Hash 2066 Otherwise known AS the Celebrating Lord Stiffy hash. The Abu Dhabi Island Hash was delt a tough emotional blow when we learned that our good friend, Lord Stiffy, passed away last week. He left behind his beloved wife, Lady Stiff Reliever, his children, and a circle of hash friends that extended from Azerbaijan to Abu Dhabi, and on back to Newcastle on Thyne, where he recently repatriated after two years in the Sandpit. For all of us in the Abu Dhabi Hash, we loved Lord Stiffy for his great humour, welcoming and inclusive spirit, and his eager willingness to get things on the hash done (from food at the ReHy to weekly softies and beer duties). Tonight s trail took us on a meander through Stiffy s former Al Reem neighborhood, where we imbibed on beers and gin and tonics in his honor, and offered up our best rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody (as Lord Stiffy loved all things Freddy Mercury) to say good-bye. HASHMEISTER: Teaboy HARES: Knob Jockey and Spinster On on, Lord Stiffy. You will be missed! VERDICT/SCORE: The usual complaints by the pack, but there was a beer check that will now be known as Lord Stiffy checks but otherwise too hot, too long, too short and just too too so man in fact to make it the best trail of the year. Score a minus 4, one for each check and the LS check. NEW RUNNERS: Just Clare. She s from the UK and has managed to avoid the hash for four years. When the pack gave her shyte for her sweet hello to the crowd in the circle, she quickly caught on by telling the pack to f*ck off, then! She s a physiotherapist, Sex Hair made her come (to the hash) and when asked if she would come to the hash again she replied maaaaaaybe, then changed her reply to a more demonstrative yes before telling us that her favorite farmyard animal is the chicken. Just Jay also joined us from New Zealand. He s here visiting with What She Said and Shag N Fly, and while just passing through, his favorite farmyard animal is the calf. CELEBRATIONS: Dirty Digger celebrates her birthday! And Guac Twat s boyfriend got a job, congrats Mido!

2 RETURNERS: Lots of hashers coming back from lots of places, leaving us optimistic about more double-digit numbers of attendees at future trails! LEAVERS: Tarhole heads to the Maldives! HASH SOCIAL: Tuesday, September 19 th 2017 Cheap Eat Night, location to be advised. Friday, 10 th November 2017 Rehydration Run in the Al Khatim Desert. This year s run will have a theme..it s DISASTERS Friday 8 th December 2017 Christmas Hash Brunch at the St Regis on the Terrace. This is a little pricier than normal but as Friday brunches go, this is one of the best in town. So start saving up for this, we deserve to give ourselves a treat! Entertainer vouchers are available. Highlights from the trail included Spinster being called in for over sweeping the trail. Apparently she wasn t confident in marks left by her co-hare Knob Jockey, so anytime the pack went even slightly off the scent of the trail, she called them back and on. Jaws was also called in for being a front-walking b*stard. And by looking at this bad-ass photo from the trail, it looks like it was well earned! Meanwhile On the Leash was called in, but we ll never know what for as he left the on-back to either water the dogs, or attend to other royal needs. Knob Jockey was then called in as his poor trail markings were confirmed by the pack, while Jack Off Daniels was called in for missing the checks. He might has Frankenfurter s B*tch to blame, as FFB was found to fail in his duties to call on on. Then 3Way and Shag N Fly drank for something to do with a big fight in Vegas, while Suck My Hari Balls drank for a hurricane in his almost namesake. Hari, Harvey, same same.

3 White Trash and Tarhole then drank for tech on trail, while Just Jen was called in and out for complaining about the length of the trail just 50 meters in, as well as shaving her legs in preparation for tonight s trail. Meanwhile Just Mike drank for experiencing spasms post-trail last week (it was probably the drink, mate!). And while Knob Jockey was called in for his lousy marks, so bad in fact, that Spinster had to use her GPS to get back to the start! Things devolved from there. Teaboy was called in for proclaiming that he has sheep balls, while Sex Hair was called in for his long absence. Just Jay was also called in again, for nearly getting mugged while traveling with What She Said. Moaning Mini was called in for walking Karma on trail, who left a major mess on trail, while Tarhole came to the rescue with some trash bags. Meanwhile Dirty Digger was called in for always coming late, a club which Guac Twat and Show Me Your Tats are also members. --- After that, Teaboy led us in a group toast of Lord Stiffy. Great stories were shared from his all too brief time with us, including these gems: Knob Jockey remembers spending New Year s Eve with Lord Stiffy. And as they were approaching Midnight where a large fireworks display would be held along with a bubbly toast, Lord Stiffy needed to go take a p*ss. By the time he got back, he had completely missed the big show! Teaboy remembers drinking gin and tonics with Lord Stiffy in the desert, but little else about what followed! Stiffy loved camping and being out in the desert, but never paid much attention to the fact that some spots he visited were only for four-wheel drives (and his little car was definitely just two). As a result, he managed to get stuck straight away after lots of warning out in Al Khatim before the ReHy, only to do the same in Liwa when visiting Planet Jakku! Jack Off Daniels shared that after one of the last hash balls, The Club called to let them know that someone had left their dinner jacket in the ballroom. JOD took it upon himself to call around to find out who might have left theirs behind. Contacting Lord Stiffy, he asked, Hey, did you lose your jacket? But Lord Stiffy didn t miss a beat, Nope, he said. You just woke me up I m still wearing mine! Gin and tonics got the best of him one night when after drinking a few he went out to the building s trash compactor and when he came back, realized he had locked himself out of the apartment. Since Lady Stiff Reliever had already gone to bed, he ended up spending the night cuddled up by the door in the hallway! After a few more words about Lord Stiffy, the circle ended with a group sing-a-long of the Queen classic (LS s fave), Bohemian Rhapsody. Good-bye, good friend. On out.
