2 O REGIJI IN O AGENCIJI Gorenjska leži v severozahodnem delu Slovenije. Po regiji poteka X. evropski avtocestni in železniški koridor. Na Brniku je osrednje slovensko letališče. Vse to prispeva k prometno ugodni legi regije in dobri dostopnosti. Gorenjsko kolesarsko omrežje Regijski geografski informacijski sistem Register funkcionalno degradiranih območij Maintaining a healthy living environment Quality resources of drinking water and wood, clean rivers and lakes, and stars visible in the night sky are some of the most important features in Gorenjska. BSC Kranj's work is focused on maintaining a healthy living environment and harmonious spatial development. The agency works on solutions for the efficient use of energy and reducing pollution, reviving village and town centres, and encouraging environmentally-friendly mobility. Development of rural areas The Local Action Group (LAG) Las Gorenjska Košarica was established in 2007 for the development of rural areas in Gorenjska as a non-profit contractual partnership that has over 70 founding members from the public, private and non-profit sectors, operating in the area of 14 Gorenjska municipalities. Together with its partners, LAG Gorenjska Košarica carries out numerous projects that contribute to the development of rural areas. By developing the knowledge and talent of the region's people, the endogenous potential, developing quality products and services and integrating into value chains, preserving the natural environment, cultural heritage, identity and partnerships among sectors, LAG Gorenjska Košarica is building sustainable development and new, sustainable, green jobs. In doing so, the differences and interests of all generations are taken into consideration, building tolerance, including vulnerable target groups, connecting villages with towns and opening up to the world. 16
