Hawaiian Airlines will soon be saying aloha to the Big Apple when it begins daily nonstop service between New York City s JFK International Airport and Honolulu (O ahu) next summer. The new service will commence on June 4, 2012 with the inaugural Hawaiian Flight 50 departing Honolulu at 3:05 p.m. and arriving in New York City at 6:55 a.m. the following morning. The return flight from New York departs at 10:00 a.m. and arrives in O ahu at 3:00 p.m. Maui will get a huge lift from California s Bay Area when Hawaiian Airlines begins its nonstop service from San Jose and adds year round direct flights from Oakland starting in January The San Jose-Maui service will begin January 10 and operate three days a week with flights from Kahului departing on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 1:25 p.m. and arriving in San Jose at 8:25 p.m. The return flight will depart the next day at 8:10 a.m. and arrive in Maui at 11:45 a.m. Starting January 11, flights between Oakland and Maui will operate four times a week with departures from Kahului on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 1:25 p.m.

5 Page 5 Returning flights leave Oakland on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 8:10 a.m. and arrive in Kahului at 11:40 a.m. Beginning December 14, Hawaiian Airlines will increase service between Sydney (Australia) and Honolulu (O ahu) from five times a week to daily flights year round. The nonstop flight departs Sydney Airport (Australia) at 9:20 p.m. and arrives at Honolulu International Airport (O ahu) the same day at 10:10 a.m. The return flight departs Honolulu at 11:50 a.m. and arrives in Sydney the next day at 7:20 p.m. For more information, visit HawaiianAirlines.com.! Alaska Airlines continues to expand its Hawai i service with the launch of its daily nonstop service between San Diego (California) and Honolulu (O ahu) on November 17. The flight departs San Diego at 9:15 a.m. and arrives in Honolulu at 1:15 p.m. The return flight will depart Honolulu at 3:40 p.m. and arrive in San Diego at 11:15 p.m. Alaska Airlines is also adding daily nonstop flights between Oakland and San Jose (California) to Lïhu e (Kaua i) and Kona (Hawai i Island) beginning March 12, Alaska previously only offered three flights a week from San Jose to Lïhu e and Oakland to Kona and four flights a week from San Jose to Kona and Oakland to Lïhu e.
