4 Event to take place starting at Teluk Pauh beach. (in front of Perhentian Island Resort) Swimmer to swim along the shore toward turtle beach and return to Teluk Pauh beach for about 4km in distance. Start/Finish 4km

5 Important note: Swimmer to report their BIB no at the checkpoint. Recommend to hydrate themselves at this point. Navigate your swim by passing the marking buoy. The marking buoy is always on your right. Do sighting accordingly to avoid collision with incoming swimmers and to ensure you are in the right swimming path Cut off is 2 hours and 30 minutes 5

6 Race Rules & Regulations Swimmers must wear the given swimming cap. Wetsuit is not permitted. Wearing safety swimming buoy is compulsory. No swimmer shall be permitted to use or wear any device which may be an aid to their speed, endurance or buoyancy. Swimsuit, rash guard, compression wear, goggles, nose clip and earplugs may be used. To complete a race, a swimmer must start at the flag off point on the beach, passing through 5 marking buoys, drop by and report the BIB no at the checkpoint at Turtle beach (marked by Blue Ball) and return to the finishing line at the beach. Swimmers can always hold to the swimming safety buoy anytime for resting Swimmer s are encouraged to hydrate themselves at the checkpoint Swimmers who do not finish the course within the time limit shall be removed from the water, however the race director may allow a swimmers outside the time limit to complete the course. His/her timing is marked as OTL and not entitled for any winners award. All swimmers shall have their competition number clearly displayed on their arms. Additional marking on swim caps for swimmers wearing long sleeves. Personal escort safety craft is not allowed The pacing of a swimmer by another person entering the water is not permitted. Any unsportsmanship behavior during the race may be resulted in disqualification. The course is patrolled by Chief Referee Swimmer replacement is not allowed a week before the race date. 6

11 Emergency / Evacuation Plan to Nearest Hospital a) Pusat Kesihatan Pulau Perhentian (transition). b) Dedicated High speed boat on standby at designated location (near Klinik Kecil Pulau Perhentian). c) Private ambulance (EMS) standby at Kuala Besut Jetty. d) Evacuation is to Hospital Kuala Besut. 11

12 Guide getting van & boat transfer Using our Panel Safepark Holiday 1. Van transfer to jetty Instruction: Proceed to bus stop outside the airport about 50m away from main exit. contact Culi or Poksu alternatively is taking Grab or Airport taxi. About 1 hour drive. 2. For Boat Transfer Instruction: Proceed to safepark holiday office to arrange your boat transfer or parking. First shop lot on the left of Terminal Pelancongan building. Mention about Amir s group Contact (Ms Muni) & or (Abang Lan) or Amir The trip takes 45min; Return ticket is RM60; normal price 70 For parking, refer to the safeparktip office too, rm10 per day.; Walking distance from the jetty 3. If using Grab or airport Taxi, proceed to safepark office to purchase boat ticket. Important: The last boat to the Island is 4:30pm. 4. To exit the Island You can pick 8am 12noon 4pm Do inform safepark Your exit plan 12
