The DoggySwim S290 is a purpose built canine exercise pool from leading swim spa manufacturer Riptide Pools. Designed as a home swimming pool for your dog, a DoggySwim hydrotherapy pool has ive adjustable swim jets to provide a gentle current for exercise. At Riptide Pools, we have taken our years of expertise and technical know-how building home exercise pools for humans and fused it with our research and input from canine professionals. The result of all our eforts is the DoggySwim, a fully featured hydrotherapy pool for dogs. Perfect for restorative hydrotherapy, general exercise and fun, the DoggySwim pool is designed and created to satisfy the demands of veterinary surgeons, physiotherapists and pamper parlours.

What is canine hydrotherapy and how can it help your dog?

Hydrotherapy can often be useful in treating a variety of conditions, including muscle and ligament damage, orthopaedic conditions, arthritis and neurological disorders.

Canine hydrotherapy involves the use of swimming in warm water to help dogs recover following surgery, for pets with more long-term mobility problems and also for general exercise. Hydrotherapy can often be useful in treating a variety of conditions, including muscle and ligament damage, orthopaedic conditions, arthritis and neurological disorders. It s also fantastic exercise, so can help otherwise inactive dogs improve their form and itness. Can t I just take my dog for a swim in a lake or river? With the potential health risks, we deinitely don t recommend this, and especially not for rehabilitation purposes. Hydrotherapy treatment should take place in warm water. In cold water, blood low through some blood vessels will be restricted, causing the muscles to work less efectively. Cold water increases the chance of sudden cramp and can aggravate joint pain and cause discomfort. The water in a DoggySwim pool is kept at the ideal temperature for your dog. The water is also kept clean and sanitised, providing the perfect environment for a controlled itness regime tailored to your dog s needs. 4 DoggySwim S290 Mk1 Hydrotherapy Pool for Dogs The DoggySwim has been designed as a dedicated canine hydrotherapy pool, with ive adjustable swim jets to provide the perfect counter-current for small to medium sized dogs to swim against. There is an independent slip-safe ramp for easy access both in and out of the pool which is easy to move away when not in use. The ramp can either be used parallel to the side of the pool, or at 90 degrees. Designed to live outside in your garden or indoors if you wish, the DoggySwim pool is insulated with 2lb closed cell foam and topped with a thermal cover to keep the heat in and your running costs low. The thermal covers can be removed in seconds to reveal clean, warm, inviting water for your dog to exercise in and enjoy. The DoggySwim is easy to maintain. It features a corona discharge ozone generator and a loating automatic chlorinator to take care of your sanitizing needs. The pool has a powerful 50 sq ft of iltration and a fur catcher membrane to help keep the water in optimum condition.

Each frame is supplied ready to be itted with a suitable lifejacket that will keep your dog safely aloat whilst they beneit from weightless exercise in the warm water.

5 Gantry frame For dogs recovering after an operation or injury, we ofer a wheeled gantry frame with pulleys and cleats. This allows the dog to be suspended in the pool where they can exercise in safety and comfort. Each frame is supplied ready to be itted with a suitable lifejacket that will keep your dog safely aloat whilst they beneit from weightless exercise in the warm water. This is the same material we use in our world class swim spas. Our competitors only use ibreglass with a gel coat, which in time will crack and de-laminate, weakening the structure The DoggySwim is also built with the same quality components as our premium pools. 6 DoggySwim features Counter-current jets The ive counter-current jets on the DoggySwim pool are fully adjustable via a control dial. Simply alter the counter-current speed to suit the strength and size of your dog. LED lighting For evening / night-time use, multi-coloured, underwater LED lighting is itted as standard. This can be adjusted via the control panel. Control panel The simple to operate electronics control panel allows you to control the jets, water temperature and lighting. It also features a handy lip option which allows the LED display to be viewed from either side of the pool. Filtration The 50 sq ft ine particle ilter is quick and easy to remove for cleaning or replacing. The ilter compartment also features a fur catcher membrane. This is itted above the ilters and holds back particles such as dog hair, ensuring your DoggySwim pool always operates cleanly and eiciently.

8 Dog Lifejackets If you feel conident with your dog s swimming abilities a lifejacket may not be necessary. However, if your dog needs a lifejacket, we advise you purchase one to suit your pet direct from retailers, as there are such a variety of ittings available. We recommend Up Buoy Lifejackets, available at Up Buoy Lifejackets have a D ring at the collar and at the rear of the jacket, for use with the optional DoggySwim gantry frame. Whilst keeping hand and eye contact with your dog, have someone else raise the support wires and secure them to the cleat or winch so your pet is higher than the pool. Move the gantry over the pool water, and whilst staying in contact with your dog, get your helper to lower the support cables until your pet is aloat in the warm water, with the support cables tied of to the cleat or supported by the winch.
