6 My brief talk touches upon the limitations of current work on artificial intelligence and machine learning in the domain of mobility and highlight an alternative human-centered approach that is the focus of work being carried out at Piaggio Fast Forward. My key takeaway is that it's not enough to focus alone on the technical challenges associated with the development of autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicles. Rather key questions that are experiential, cultural, ethical, social in short human questions will figure centrally in the design of successful products and mobility solutions that leverage the power of AI and machine learning to extend and expand human capabilities.

In 1966, it was reconfigured at the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory to experiment with the idea of self-driving vehicles. Evolutionary results of this early work can be seen in the autonomous vehicles of today.
