I suspect what has happened is that the 12 and 11 on her line were miscopied by a clerk and the 12 should be in the # children born column (not in the years married column) and the 11 should be in the # children living column. (We know of these 6 children, plus at least Mary Emma, John L, Rosa Vernon, Ella Frances.)
