1 THE EFFICIENCY OF THE DEFENSE PHASE OF FOOTBALL GAME AT LEAGUE I. CASE STUDY "STEAUA BUCHAREST" Associate Professor PhD Sorin Ciolcă Associate Professor PhD Gheorghe Grigore Assist. Ph.Student Tudor Palade National University of Physical Education and Sport in Bucharest Abstract: May the defense phase have a decisive contribution in getting performance? Through practical solutions quickly thought according to your opponent, the global activity of a team can have high indexes when they are defending? There are two questions to which, through this research, we will try to find an answer. Specific parameters of goals taken on own field, on opponent s field, in round I, in round II and in penalty highlight the efficiency of the game in defense at the League I team, Steaua Bucharest in the first part of the championship of and the first part of the championship of The data obtained and visualized through graphics can be correlated with the performances from the end of two competitive periods. Keywords: defense, football, goals, performance 1. Introduction Actual football game is characterized by a number of features that determine the continuous improvement of the training process to achieve superior results. Performance in this game can get, given the complexity and diversity training and competition existing within itself through continuous improvement activity of the players in order to improve completion of actions of attack and defense tactic optimization (Grigore, Gh., 2011). The concept of "defense" in football is the sequence of individual or collective actions of defenders (including the goalkeeper), since the loss of the ball and to her recovery (V.Cojocaru, 2001). Addressing the senior defense phase is done both in preparation and during the game, in a permanent activity modeling, adaptation and scientific interpretation of the current football (Ciolcă, S., 2005). 2. Purpose Weighting and defensive efficiency was the main goal of this scientific endeavor that we have achieved during compared to the championship round of the Tour Championship reporting position held goals to the team. 3. Hypothesis If we want to achieve for the defense game model for the League I, then we have to highlight with registration the main issues of receiving goals. 76
2 4. Research methods I used the following research methods: bibliographic study, observation method, recording method, statistical and mathematical method, graphical method. 5. Experiment content Research period: August December 2013; Place of research: stadiums that teams have played official games studied in the abovementioned championship. Subjects: Players components Steaua Bucharest. Type experiment: research finding 6. Summary of the total number of goals conceded and the arithmetic mean Figure 1. Goals at home and away Regarding goals received at home we see a greater number of goals were scored in the first part of championship (4 goals) versus first part of championship (2 goals). On away goals received, the difference is the same of 2 goals (11-9) in "favor" of championship. Figure 2. Goals in the first and second half 78
4 On halftime we note that Steaua Bucharest team, in the first half received the championship with one goal more than the same period of season. Also in the second half Steaua Bucharest players received more goals in championship (7 goals) than in the championship (4 goals). Figure 3. Goals received on compartments Concerning the post in the team we note that in championship the Steaua forwards scored 7 goals more than the championship. Regarding midfielders, a greater number of goals was recorded in first part. Defenders League I teams have scored to Steaua one goal in every round of the championship record. Figure 4. Penalty goals 79
5 From penalty, Steaua Bucharest team received goals (2 goals) only in the first part of championship, while in the first part of the team did not receive any goal of such action. 7. Conclusions Total number of goals conceded was higher in championship (15 goals) from championship (11 goals). Record the main aspects related to receiving goals in and championships reveal the correlation between all parameters in the two seasons and the ranking at the end of the first part of the season. However, even if in the first part received fewer goals, Steaua Bucharest has collected fewer points (39 points) compared to the same period last season (41 points).
